Just want to know what you think. This blog comes as a result of one I read, below, where a white female Black In America member said she had a right to be here. Is this site exclusive for black's only? What do you think?

My two cents is...anything/anyone that helps "my people" is welcome. So long as you have value to add...I say come on in! We wouldn't seek to exclude folks who were too short, or hair was only a certain length (naturally). Why exclude for other innate biological reasons: RACE. Heck..I know White people who far are more "African-American than some of the Black folks I know. Long story short...If you have something meaningful to say...spit it out...regardless of color.

Everyone like to throw around "its a free country" but I do believe this website was built exclusively for black people.. and because it is a "free country" she feel that she has the right, which she does.. to intrude.. which is what shes doing. In MY opinion.

The first question I would ask is why does he want to be here. Jessica, a white woman, explained why she was interested in being and I think that's cool. Why does he want to be here? Is he spying? Or does he want to be part of building bridges to a successful America? And Isaac is right. It's America. It's supposed to be a free country. If black people want fairness and want to be treated a certain way we have to lead by example.

/* Thanks for the enlightenment Ms. Smallwood. There will always be someone to ridicule you (as Black People) and be spiteful of you as soon as look at you, while they're smiling in your face, they're stabbing you right in your back! You're/We're supposed to turn the other cheek. What happens when you run out of cheeks? I do concur that this forum should be used to portray the wrongs that happen to us (people of color). I am also in agreement with Dr. Glover, if you have something positive to add to the solutions, come on in! Remeber my people, "It's not the things you know that hurt you, it's the things you know that just aint so." I also know several people who are more Black then a lot of so-called Black People. And they prove it over and over again, what have the so-called Black Folk done for us lately? Here's to equallity! Less we not forget, "that which doesn't kill us only makes us stronger." Gregory V. Alright. Do you all have some inside advance to help our race? Seems to me we all are the same. Just different color. You know me right Jennifer? lol. You knew me right when you saw my picture and didn't even give me a chance. You assume who I am. I didn't send our converstation to anyone but ONLY a blog. So, no. You can call me anything and everything in the book. Your race will complain about my race judging you, well, dont judge me. You say that all blacks aren't the same. Well, don't say we are all the same. We aren't. So, yes. I will have seat and I will bring my opinion to the table. Don't even think that I won't.

P.s. If there was a website that was just for whites, I would be on that too. I would expect for different races to be on that too. Nothing is make up. Jessica is my name, my last name is Dillon. I have NOTHING to hide. But, just like you saying I am intruduing on here, wouldn't you be intruding and to have some helpful advice (per Jennifer) to be on our website?

Hell, I'm just glad to know that it's not just Blacks that struggle with forming proper sentences.

Are we SERIOUSLY having this discussion? The site is Black in America, not "Only Blacks in America Welcome Here." I hope as intelligent, Dr. King-minded black people, we are not seriously entertaining the notion of subjecting another person to the same discrimination, racism and ugliness that has been perpetuated against us for centuries. There were white people fighting in the Civil Rights Movement and previous to that to abolish slavery. There were some white folk putting their lives on the line, too. Somebody wake me up. We can't REALLY be having this conversation.

And before anyone brings it up...it doesn't MATTER that she's ignorant. There are many ignorant black folk here, too. My point? Ignorance is color blind. Anyone of any race can fit the bill. Just ignore her if you don't like what she has to say. She obviously thrives on chaos. Ignore her and she will eventually find somewhere else to thrive. Blessings...

I have to agree. Ignore me if you don't want hear what I am saying. Don't read what I am putting, or read my comments. I am not going to lose any sleep over it. But, don't expect me to be leaving any time soon, just because you are ignoring me.

Then if this is just for Black America, then why was I allowed to have a screen name, password and post comments? If I wasn't allowed to, I wouldn't be here right now typing this comment. But, If I wasn't allowed to, that would be discrimantion. Just like if my race had a website called White America, and you try to log in, make a password and etc, and you couldn't get on. You would be calling it the samething. I have done nothing wrong on this website. I haven't called anyone names, just stating my opinions and comments. I am part of you community, just like you are mine. God stated that we ALL are brothers and sisters, all of our blood still runs red when it hits the air. So, if we ALL are brothers and sister, aren't I your sister too. My skin color is different, not my blood.

I personally don't mind if she wants to comment on something, she does have the same rights as we do. oops, do we really have the same rights or is there a double standard somewhere like the laws for instance.

Jessica it is not what you say but how you say it. If you are here to grow as a person and help all of us grow as a people that will shine through in how you say what you have to say but if you are here to cause division that too will rear its ugly head. Only you know in your heart what your intentions are. Black America does not need to decide for you. What comes out of your mouth is what you carry within. Soon that will not be hidden from anybody. It doesn't take long.
