Well folks it looks like we are well past the polite stage:) Ya'll are really starting to act like family in some of these Blogs. But I have to ask...what are we going to do to fix our problems? What are your suggestions, big or small? Do we need money to make your plans work? How long until we see meaningful results? What is the end game? In ten years will the CNN Black in America special be a glowing report of your accomplishments or our combined failure?

What to do...What to do...? Isaac is absolutely right. Actions speak louder than words. As far as ideas, I think that first we should all get a common goal. If we just trying to fix stuff or go about change, without a set goal or without a vision, then we would be running around like chicken without its head, in a more serious note, our endeavors will not be successful. Proverbs 29:18, "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." Money...yes we need. But we also need to begin to operate in love...a lot of issues with my generation is because no one is operating in godly love. I believe that, as for young people, as well as our elders, there should be no reason why we should be hesitant to approach a seasoned brother or sister, when we are in need of encourage, or help...To many times, I talk to young people on my campus, and the first thing that comes out of there mouths when I ask them "why don't you go to church" or "why do you choose to act/live the way you do", is in a sense, "I've been preached to my whole life...and never heard" Basically, I think that we should begin to embrace youth, for we are the next generation. How long until we see results??? That depends on how dedicated we are to our plan. If we hit and miss, then it may take years, months...whatever the case would be. But if we are actually going to execute the ideas of those that will post, we must be diligent. My prayer is that whatever we do, WE, will not be glorified, but rather the righteousness of Christ be glorified. I will be keeping in contact...I have been planning a youth conference for 2009, that I believe, will be a great opportunity for outreach and change. I have in mind some individuals that I would love to invite to speak to our youth, and I will be contacting those individuals in months to come...be blessed. PS, always remember that where "two or three are gathered in my (God) name, I(God) am in the midst" I don't know about many of you, but I believe that God will approve of whatever endeavors that we have, as long as we keep Him as the center. For some, I know we dont have the same beliefs, but for those of us who do... "two or three" is enough, check it out: Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Ecclesiastes 4:12 "And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken". Smile CAD
