Hello! I just wanted to share a wealth that few of us have. It's the true acts of kindness. What and how do you show acts of kindness? It has to start I would think at home with your parents. I saw a little girl on yesterday, she couldn't of been no more than 2 years old. When she was given assistant by my co-worker, she said two words..."Thank you" I thought if only some grown-ups could take note of what a child can do. It was kindness and the gentle nature of child that shame so many adults. People don't show kindness like I received in growing up.
Take for instance, when you helped a little old lady carry her groceries to the car, or if you opened a door for a lady who was entering. Or stopping to help someone stranded. Now, because of the fear of being a good samaritian so many of pass on by these opportunities to aid and help. I admit, one should be cautious because everyone cannot be trusted, but sometimes we miss out on helping even some we know very well. Taking time to be there for someone who has invited to give a hand, instead of making an excuse to not show up.
Have we forgotten vitures of living? Why I have encountered people I just wanted to get around where they were standing in a public entrance, saying ...."Excuse me, may I get pass you please", and they have answered. "You're excused"... Instead of saying, "No, excuse me for blocking the door." These seem more like manners, but I see them as acts of kindness too.
Apparently, people love to flock to where vultures fly. When there is something good about, they usually avoid it and disappear. Acts of kindness are often so much avoided and becoming seldom used each day. Here a few words of kindness to you.
Thank you for choosing to read me today.
What do you think about it? Is kindness a disappearing act?
