What Are You Thinking? (677 hits)

Do you ever ask yourself the question "what was I thinking?", or make statements like "I wonder what was on my mind."? That might happen from time to time, but is there a way to stop asking yourself this question or from making that statement? Should we just say "oh well, it couldn't have been important or it will come to me later on."?

The simplest way that I know of to stop the questions and statements is to stop depending on your memory to remember things that happen and thoughts that come to mind whenever possible. Write it down!

Maybe you might say that you are not an author and that you have nothing to write about, but your life experiences and thoughts are the things that made you the person that you are today. It really doesn't matter if your thoughts are uninteresting to another person or if they don't make sense to someone else, because they are your thoughts and they make all of the sense in the world to the person that has to live your life.

Do you have a favorite writer or author? You should, and you should know each every one of their thoughts.

Your life is worth reading about, do your part to make sure that your story is written,

"I never know what I think about something until I read what I've written on it."

-- William Faulkner

What have you been thinking lately?

Do you know? We get so accustomed to our thoughts that we lose awareness of them. We don’t see how they are stuck in old habitual patterns, most of which don’t serve us.

Take time to journal so you can capture your thoughts on paper. By doing so, you will begin to take control of your mind and use it to best advantage.

"When you choose to understand [and] exercise control over the functions and attributes of your own mind, you will be empowered to create your own reality, to be completely self-reliant and totally prosperous."

Emmanuel, thanks. Sometimes when your moving so fast, you do not take timeout and sit down to settle your mind. I guess finding a special place in your home, where its quiet can help.
