I'M SORRY.... (187 hits)

Greetings:
I was just thinking about these words of "I'm Sorry. Are they good enough to heal and make ammends for something a person has done to you?
I make apologies when I blunder, but to some it doesn't seem like "sorry" is good enough.
Maybe, unlike me, it may take others more time to absorb and forgive. I believe in forgiving, so I am quickly to accept an apology as well as give one. . Frankly, there are people who will not accept an apology of "I'm sorry." They will not forgive. I tend to think that neither will these people ask for forgiveness either. It's harder for them to say "I'm sorry" or even to accept an apology. What exactly can you do?

Forgiveness is a beautiful interchange when you've repented of doing something to hurt or harm another. Whether it is big or small. We all have need for forgiveness at one time or another. Sometimes, things are perfectly innocent that you say or do, but it may injure a person's feelings. Instead of them opening up to tell you, they have build up gruding about what you said or did, and they carry it inside building up hate and disliking you. If you knew of it most of time, surely you would offer an apology. How can one apologize if they are not made aware if something hurt you.

Levels of apologizes need more time. In relationships of men and women along lines of infidelity for instance, make take a little longer. However, it's still up to the person to apologize and be sincere to keep vows made to stay loyal. There may be family members too, who have been hurt by other family where an apology has been made, but not accepted. Is "I'm sorry" good enough?"

Each person deals with forgiveness differently, but like I said I was just thinking about apologies. Perhaps, there is someone you need to give an apology to, or you need to tell someone you've forgiven them. Forgiveness is grand. What you think about apologies? Do you forgive easily or do you require a little more time?

Luke: 17:3-4 Take heed yourselves: If thy brother trepass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trepass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

My kids say "sorry" all the time, it doesn't mean they feel any remorse. All repentance begins with chastisement. Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yake: TURN THOU ME, AND I SHALL BE TURNED; for thou art the Lord my God. Surely AFTER that I WAS TURNED, I REPENTED; and AFTER THAT I was INSTRUCTED, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth. I have learned ot forgive all, that I may in turn be forgiven. Even if that person does not deserve forgiveness!!! Otherwise, what Christ did is of no effect. "Forgive them for they know not what they do". The people perrish for lack of knowledge and understanding. The ten commandments was put in place to convict our spirits and TURN us from our evil ways. To help us to feel remorse. Until the individual can sense their own wrong doing, they cannot change much less ask for forgiveness. Infidelity is wrong, and most of us know it through conscience, but the fact is, the flesh is weak, and when the flesh rules, the mind is weak. It is so good that you have presented this topic. I thank you, sincerely. No "sorry" isn't good enough. But forgiving only the forgivable isn't either. GB
