I just finished reading your article, Sister Betty, about the spiritual flaws in the church (See Forum Discussion). I have to admit that going to church can be just as stressful as going to work because of the flaws of many people who show up in church every week.
I started wondering about something else, too. You said that you use your comedy as your ministry first. Do you believe that people are checking themselves? Are they identifying themselves in your characters and changing their ways in your opinion?
Now, I know pastors will stand up all day long chastising folks for their behaviors that are non-christian-like, but does your added comedy water-down the effect of the pastor's sermons?
Folks, how do you feel about these flaws? Let's dialogue with Sister Betty and get to the bottom of this...and have a good laugh, too. Please visit:
