Kids on Fire Summer Camp, in an ironic named location,"Devil's Lake"North Dakota, where a firebrand Preacher named Becky Fischer, lead Pastor of the Fire Center, a ministry devoted to training the very young to participate in the political climate of America, held unfettered control over these young minds.
The camp founded by Fischer has indoctrinated at least 400 youngsters, with far right wing ideologies. As young as they are deemed ready, these kids were being prepared to "take America, back for Christ" Here is an excerpt from the Seattle Times, November 2006, where disgraced Minister Ted Haggard tells a crowd of 14,000 believers at his New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. He tells the vast audience, "We don't have to debate about what we should think about homos*xual activity. It's written in the Bible."
Haggard who resigned back in 2006, was suspected of being involved in a liaison with Mike Jones, a parishioner whom also gave or sold him drugs, which he denies. At that time he was the President of the National Association of Evangelicals which represents 30 million followers.
This same Haggard pointed out that if all Evangelicals vote they can determine an election. They "prayed" for a Supreme Court Justice that would support their anti-abortion and other right wing platforms. According to him their prayers were answered in the Appointment of Justice Sam Alito, from New Jersey.
It's important to note that Presidential candidate Obama, would face a challenge, in these states, but is begs the question are these Evangelicals the "Blue collar" workers that he supposedly has a challenge in getting their votes? If that's so, then why was Hillary the poster child for them? Evidently if she is pro-abortion there is another dynamic operating here.
The subsequent "Indie" film exposed the camp for "brainwashing the children" and the filmmakers admitted ruefully that their film probably caused the shut down of the camp due to negative publicity.
At issue is 400 young people, our future, whose mindsets have been molded in very un-Constitutional ways while embracing the American prototype of the rugged west.
Now I understand better the inner workings of how the Republicans usurped power these last 8 years.
