Forgive them for they know not what they do. (334 hits)

This is a post based on one my Mama wrote bout a child predator now incarcerated.

Anyone who has read my profile, has read that I was mollested by a boy 10 years older than me when I was only 5.

I was able to forgive him, because he didn't know what he was doing wrong. He was merely showing love the only way he was taught by his mother. He apparently hadn't had any good male role models in his life. His mother had boyfriends in and out of the house, repeatedly. When she didn't have a man to "take care of her", her son was the next best thing.

Before judging the mom, though, consider what twisted lessons of love she has/had to experience.

Some lessons have been poorly taught by the society we live in. The veil was rent in pieces, but things still happen behind closed doors.

Church leaders are molesting our youth, telling mama's trying to get out of prostitution and support their kids with a better job to keep dancing topless.

Jesus took the "church" outside the walls, and when He did go inside the building, He overturned the tables! Think about it...

"Vengeance is mine!" says the Lord. Yes, adults should be held accountable, but people should also be given a second, sometimes a third or more, chance to change. We are transformed by the renewing of our minds. Jesus said you are to forgive a brother that sins against you 70X7 times, that is 490 times. Forgive that you may be forgiven. Also, my life is constantly affected, by the news on TV, the people I pass by on the streets or at the corner store. By my neighbors, friend, the weather. I cannot be confined to a cell just because the world has evil in it. God gave me the right protection, I still had to learn how to use it.
He gave us two eyes to see with, two ears to hear with, and only one mouth to speak with. It seems to me, He says we should see and hear twice as MUCH and twice as WELL as we should speak. And if we believe He is in control, then we should be speaking more to Him than to each other.

I am not religious either, just know who my Daddy is. As far as being able to forgive others who have trespassed, Daddy told me one day, sometimes you're the bird, other times you're the statue. Either way, keep steppin', forgive so I can forgive you. Thank you for your words, they were kind and soothing to hear.
