A LITTLE SOUTHERN NEWS: LIGHTS, CAMERA....ACTION! (187 hits)

Welcome to: "A LITTLE SOUTHERN NEWS" It's only me, your Little Southern Belle, known as MIISRAEL...

There's a lot goin ons, but I have a few new little things to tell...

Is it LIGHTS! ....or not?

THE PRESIDENTAL DEBATE
OLE MISS WILL STILL BE A HOST, BUT ONE GUEST MAY NOT SHOW

The Presidential Debate is still scheduled at 8:00 p.m. tonight on the OLE MISS campus. The lights are on to see if McCain will show or not? Obama says he will be there! Senator McCain has chosen not to attend if the Bailout plan doesn't show some kind of resolve. This leave all lights on Obama to speak, answer questions and build up a stronger following for potential voters. He promises he will attend no matter what. The session, or perhaps debate will be attended by an exclusive audience of about 100 people. Still as of now, the Presidential Debate is to take place. In addition, Michele Obama is schedule to speak sometime today too, but not at the debate time. I don't know that little news...mmm..

Give me that CAMERA!

THE INDIE MEMPHIS FILM FESTIVAL--OCTOBER 10-16, 2008
There's a little bit of Hollywood coming to Memphis. I guess I can call it "Memiswood" Anyway, It's a film festival scheduled for October 10-16. The film festival will be held at the Malco's Studio on the Square. All five screens will be up an rolling. Have you ever been to a movie screening? I surely haven't so I just might go to this one. This event is organized by Erik Jambor who is a veteran of this festival and also a local film director here in Memphis. The film roster includes Features, Documentaries, Shorts and Hometown categories.. Film critics from New York, and others from producers of Turner Classic Movies will be the judges. There will famous filimakers attending this very elite ceremony of film festive stuff! Films from all over the world called the Global Lens Series will also be shown. What you can expect to see is a full array of films. To highlight black films a documetary title "BAMA GIRL" features a black woman's quest to become homecoming queen at the University of Alabama! How's that for a pretty picture..uh? Monster movies, zombies, and sciene fiction will be on camera and in the the movie "DANCE OF THE DEAD" ..the nerds will be strike out the force at a high-school prom.
It's time for you to dress up in all you're fancy do-duds! The price for these screenings are not all too cheap. If you like to attend the after party it's October 10 at The Old Daisy on Beale...and the awards ceremony and party is October 12 will be at The Ground Zero. Cover charges and passes: The Award ceremony is $150.00-- A film pass is $85.00. Individual tickets for screens is $7 online or $9 at the door. THE POLICE AUCTION HAS THE CARS--SEPTEMBER 27, 2008

If you like action in a fast car, make your bid at the Police Auction of Cars this weekend. These are cars that were seized by The Memphis and Shelby County Police Department from....get this "real criminals" The auction begins tomorrow at Shelby Farms at 10a.m. until they're all gone I guess? If you're looking for a hooptie, to a radical go getter. They may just have for ya. Bidding is fun I hear, but if you win the bid, you gotta pay for the car right there on the spot and take it with you the same day. "Hopefully, you won't feel like a bad guy when you're drivin that thang!" Go on out there if you're not afraid of a little action. "I meant, in bidding of course. Not criminal action." Them Bad Boys might come for you!

Well, so ends this lil' issue of "A Little Southern News" with your truly, Southern Belle, MIISRAEL

Tip: "An umbrella is not exactly the same thing as a parasol."
The umbrella is usually made to resist wetness and, or provide shade. A parasol is normally made out of cloth and it's main function is to provide shading from the sun.

I'll be back in bout a week... Let me know if you enjoy reading this nues paper?
Give me some feedback hear? "If I have some typo's it's suppose to be like that!"
Until later,
SMILES,
Du...uh
I love ya'll
