**What The F*-K?** (562 hits)

With the election day coming near and the polls so close, I am getting so anxious to hear the who will be our next president. Personally, I'm voting for Obama. No, not because he's black, but because of what he stands for and how it will effect me. I believe in my heart that Obama CAN WIN this election, but there is a lot of work to be done. Over 33 African-Americans are NOT registered to vote. In the past if you had a felony you were NOT allowd to vote. Well, times have changed. If you have a felony, you ARE allowed to vote. I learned that today when I attended a Women For Obama rally. Tomomrrow I will be doing absentee ballads, Tuesday I will be doing a voter registration drive, and next Saturday I will be traveling to Virginia (battleground state) to register voters. I won't stop there. I will be making phone calls, I will be donating to the campaign. I know a lot of you want to make a change and voting is very important so I encourage everyone to vote on November 4th. Other than that what are you doing to make sure that your candidate is going to be elected?

Why do you feel the need to explain why you are voting for Obama? White people feel no need to say they are voting for McCain because he is black. The whole world KNOWS Obama is better suited to be the President of the USA. If McCain wins, then those who did not vote have themselves to blame. I have spoken to people at nauseum about this campaign. People will do what they will, but I don't want to hear a darn thing if Obama is not the winner.

Does it bother you that I want to express my reasons for voting for Obama? I am entitle to post whatever I want in my blog. I'm glad you have been talking to people, that was the purpose of this blog to share how I've been involved in this election and to see what other people are doing. The reason I said not because Obama is black is because I hear many people say they are voting for him because he's black.

Che, I understand exactly what you mean because we know and understand that there are people out there voting for Barack just because he's black. And you also know that I've had a couple of LIVE conversations where that was uttered DIRECTLY. I get it. And there are also women who have decided to vote for John McCain because they think it's for the betterment of women to see a woman VP. That's one of the reaosns John McCain selected her. An unqualified woman makes for a better diversion than a qualified or unqualified man because there are certain sensitivies (right or wrong) that benefit a woman...especially one that is not well known and let's face, not hard on the eyes. (I think she kinda favors a chipmunk, but that's just me. Most people think "she's so pretty").

Anyway, Che, I get it. I'm doing my part by just engaging in open dialogue with people. And I'm paying attention to the news...various stations and publications so that I can get what both sides and those in the middle are thinking.

Che, my best friend keeps telling me about how about a month ago I told her that Obama is going to be the only one running for the office of President.

By the end of the week we will see if McCain will be the only one left on the Republican ticket. I was only making a joke about Obama being the only one running as McCain seem to have a memory problem. But, he did well in that debate and I say this as a credit to him that iIcould not give month go.

I doubt is I can stand another major shock from governor Palin being seen in public therefore I am rooting for her as she is a human being. An ego driven, unwise person, but this is being human also.
