Election day is close, but it is not hear yet. Has everyone decided who they are voting for? Whoever you're voting for the candidates still need help. I made sure to help my candidate of choice. Spend time volunteering over the next few weeks at election headquarters. Donations are very much still needed. I know everyone has heard the rumors about wearing endorsements to the election polls. Although, the news has said it is not illegal, I have been told by several election judges and one of the directors of the board of elections that they are being told to turn people away if they are wearing anything that endorses either candidate. Also, if you haven't had a chance to check out the blog about the racial remarks that the McCain/Lipstick party is making, please do so or go to www.colorofchange.org and sign the petition to put an end to the racial remarks being made against Obama. There was a blog not too long ago about being able to tell your children and grandchildren how you were able to HELP make HISTORY. If you haven't done anything to be part of history, you still have a chance to do so. Please don't become a shoulda coulda woulda later on in life. We talk about having leaders and making change on this website. So I'm calling everyone out now. The time is now to put your money where your mouth is. The time is now to stop being a part of the problem, but part of the solution. The time is now to make things happen. The time is now to stop talking and start acting. IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE.

I too am hoping that many will go to the polls and VOTE! It's their choice to choose: Obama, or McCain....it's your right to vote. Use your right because you have been granted it.

I agree Che that for the sake of children and FUTURE CHILDREN YET TO BE BORN it is so wise to get involved NOW so U can say "I helped MAKE THINGS HAPPEN RIGHT here in our community!" I feel ya! I can't stand would have, could have should have sentiments! I enjoyed going out knocking on doors! Most folks were very open minded and hearted! The Obama campaing is EXTREMELY SOPHISTICATED AND HIGHLY ORGANIZED USING TECHNOLOGY...unlike my past experiencing canvassing for candidates they give U all types of market research data to know EXACTLY what to say and WHO to say it to! UNBELIEVABLY AND UNPRECEDENT MARKET INTELLIGENCE NATIONWIDE! ALL OUT OF CHI-TOWN! WHO DA THUNK IT? MCCAIN is operating an old school campaign against a 21st CENTURY LEADER! So any wonder why they are slinging mud and stones right now???????

U inspired me to write this article and was sent to about 12 newspapers! "In this new age of high tech and increasingly high touch, it is time for leadership to reflect the masses. There is clearly only one candidate in this race who gets the fact that people are not asleep. We are online, we are sharing our dreams, we are launching businesses and we are not going to sit back and let one bamboozle us because they say refer to me as "my friend". It is time for us to have a President who gets the fact that we need quick thinking, pragmatic implementation and hands on spirited workers making things come alive. In the final analysis, it is very easy to see that if campaign operations are any indications of how proactive and responsive a leader is in battle, we can see the McCain is slow to roll and heistates when it matters most. WE CAN DO THIS! Barack Obama, THE PEOPLE'S PRESIDENT FOR CHANGE!"

Yes, che, indeed. As you know, I am a Deputy Field Organizer for the campaign. I am working a lot for this campaign, for change. I have donated more than just money. My time, my ideas, my thoughts, all of this. I'm all about action. I don't waste time talking about change. I'm using my energy and talents to make things happen. Yes, I get tired, but hey it's worth it right? I'm maintaining. I'm good. This is an important event in our time.

This election is so crucial! Everyone SHOULD/MUST vote. We really don't have the right NOT to vote. Poem from my book Reflections of a Mississippi Magnolia-A Life in Poems: RIGHT TO VOTE I love to hear the stories , That my mama and daddy tel; Sometimes; we'll just sit a while, And they'll talk for a spell. They've told me of how hard it was, For them to get to vote; They'd go down to the courthouse door, And there would be a note; "Out to Lunch" or "No One's In", "Come Back Another Day" In al kinds of ways you wouldn't believe, They were turned away. Even when they did get in, There were more hurtles they had to cross; They'd be asked to answe questions That would put anyone to a loss, "How many bubbles in a bar of soap?" "How many pennies in that jar?" "How many raindrops to fill a barrel?" "How many miles to a star?" It seems almost incredulous That this was how it was; But believe you me, no matter what, I vote now, just because. Copyright 2008 Patricia neely-Dorsey

Che, I find those nasty remarks of the McCain-Palin campaign is a (blessing)benifit for Obama-Biden.It is like the economy is the "common" enemy at this time in history in America and not the color of the skin. I hope that we begin to look at this as the more the Republican's refuse to not realize that this election is not the race wars of the past. This is Change.I pray that this is the future of this country/a first step.A giant step for mankind like when we stepped on the moon for the first time.

Cha, I thanked you on Christpher's voting without an address Post. This is refering to the state of California as taught to us who will be working the polls on election day. your original poll is still your legal polling place. So many, many people have lost their homes in this state(fires/foreclosuers) that some schools have been forced to close. This state refuses to take away any person's right to vote under these situtations as these citizens have done nothing wrong. I repeat, this is in the state of California, a Democrat state(smile), Not run by the Republican's trying to use the pre-Voting Rights Law's Grandfather Clauseto keep the minority from voting.Remember this state of UC Berkeley and San Francisco is not called the state of fruits and nuts for nothing(smile)and much Lov
