Welcome to: “A Little Southern News” Hey, that’s right, it’s me again... “Yo Little Southern Belle, MIISRAEL.” I’m a day earlie, Won’t be roun TA’mar-raw..Going on a trip. What have I‘ve been doin? I‘ve been huntin to find a little news for you. So I visited my neighborin state, Arkansas. How come? Cause they got lots -of -events goins on over there…trees, and mountains are good places for huntin. Shh!…Hush…..I hear thar’s something comin up……

HUNTSVILLE, AR “STAR PARTY” OCTOBER 25, 2008 -8:15 P.M

Huntsville is the perfect place to go and gaze at the stars. It’s star hunting country. You might not see Will Smith or Jada, or even Jamie Fox. Nope, no foxes are in this category at all. The Astronomical Society of Northwest Arkansas will be using their telescopes to look into deep space. You can hunt for stars, constellations, galaxies, and planets that are light years away! You’ll need to bring some stuff wit ya. Like yo lawn chair, a blanket and “some-teet” In case you is from some other part of the country…. “some-teet” means “something to eat.” Ugh..um? I like chick’n too, My friend Corey eat’s that when he’s in Nashville..(Smiles) This here event is outside..so it’s a freebie.. Where: The Crossbow Pavillion, 33424 Spur 23, Huntsville, AR * Otherwise, you can pop in that Shrek movie and gaze at the stars with Shrek and Donkey. ….he’ll tell you stories bout “Bloodknot”…* and the group of hunters runnin away from his stinch!

IT’S LAKE OUACHITA KAYAK CAMP OUT--MOUNTAIN PINE, AR- OCTOBER 25-26, 2008
Join them, for an overnight kayaking adventure. You’ll take a trip that includes your meals, and evening programs. Learn some history, geology and WILD LIFE! Is there any bears sleeping round there. ‘Yogie might steel you pic-an-nic basket” …Anyway, bring your own kayak, and supplies, or you can rent them from the state park for a price tag of $35 and campin equipment is $15. “There’s only room for one more Flanders” Spaces are limited. It’s a overnight trip…you’ll be sleepin out in the wild. Star gaze there too! You can find the river by going to Lake Ouachita State Park, 5451 Mountain Pine Road, Mountain Pine, AR . Just in case you gets lost they have a web site…..www.lakeouachita@arkansas.com Paddle on over thar! And hunt for a few fish too… No! You can’t brin chick’ns, they might attract bears; Sugar.

EUREKA SPRINGS SCHOOL OF ARTS 6TH ANNUAL MAD HATTER’S BALL
OCTOBER 24, 2008 --EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS
Food, dancing, auctions of arts, and lots of mad hatters! I feel like Alice in Wonderful Land.. I mean “Wonderland“. It’s all in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This event is in town at the Crescent Hotel. Is this entertangment? “Since we’ve been huntin, we’ve finally found a nice catch of the day.” This is a fund raiser for the school, so you’ll be doing a good deed. I know we won’t be attending, but somebodies will. Sounds like a good clean gorgeous night of fun! “ You know what, you never cease to amaze me” You’d look good with a mad hatter’s hat on”… “ You’re welcome” … Take the trail to Eureka Springs, AR…. and find the Cresent Hotel in town. PIGGOTT, ARKANSAS 5th ANNUAL FRIENDLY FAIRYTALE FOREST
SEPTEMBER 27-OCTOBER 31, 2008 9 am - 6 pm
Is Robin Hood in this forest? Might be, I don’t know. This is the Friendly Fairytale Forest not “Cherwood.” This forest is designed just for chil’ ren AND “wimpy”adults like …well, I won’t call me by name, it just anin’t proper to call me a wimp! Anin’t that right ? (Laughing! ) .… Du..uh…… The Fairy Tale Forest has been opened since September 27, but the last day is October 31. You’ll get to go ON a walk through a corn maze, where only nice goblins reside! Whoever hear of a nice GOBLIN! Spookin me already….is that you shakin? There will be fairytale scenes and interactive displays. If weather permits you can have real nice friendly time. Wear suitable clothes. Not a suit…suitable. I’m such a “Southern Belle“. TIP: When a lady is mounting a horse, a gent folds his hands together in by locking his fingers where she places her foot, as he is assisting her to mount the horse. But the horse reins will need to held by the lady or tied to a post…..Don’t want the horse to move causing the lady to fall. That’s truly southern kindness….
