The Romance with Castro and the Reality.
My mom,who traveled there in 1989 told me Cuba hadn't seen a can of paint in 20 years! This is a video of probably a depressed area, but as far as I am concerned Castro has done nothing to develop the infrastructure of the country.
Maybe he should take a hint from Russia. The video is a man -in- the -street narrative by an Argentinian who says he probably won't return. It is boring, but a minute or two of the video will give you an idea of a resilient people living under a 40 year embargo and holding at bay the despair. Probably losing all hope. Obama has promised to lift the embargo.

One can just look at a country and see what bad shape it is in to only know that America's government had something to do with the dictator that was put into power/given vital aide...We as decendants of Africa have a direct tie to Cuba and to all of those country south of our American shores.
This is why I am so glad that little by little we as Black in America are learning the truth. This is the only way that we can get past the PREJUDICE(pre conceved ignorance)or Communist, Black, Muslin, etc.
If I had not graduated the year that I did from UCD, I would have been in the first class that went to Cuba to cut sugar cane and meet with the real(not media)people of Cuba!I chant(pray) that something is in many American's future. Let us support Obama in this effort expecially as African-American. Now, call me a Communist if you like as long as you call yourself P-R-E-J-U-D-I-C-E.
I will add that the great philosopher and ret.African-American(woman study)department professor, Ms Angela E. Davis is one of my all time idols.
