Certainly you didn't expect those same people to smile and get your coffee for you. They were mad. Now imagine how mad we would've been if we lost. Yeah we'd go to the office but nothing would've gotten done. Even before that, there would've been riots at midnight. People are tired of the nonsense so we create more nonsense to get over it. On the contrary, the employees were there and they greeted me with the same smiles and laughter that I've come to enjoy. What was still missing were the patrons. The place was so vacant that when I dropped a quarter on the floor, there was an echo. If they went to work, nothing was accomplished because they didn't get their morning coffee. They were probably at home cleaning up the mess they made breaking dishes and kicking in he television. They are so mad that they can't even talk. i can only imagine all of the unanswered telephone calls, the teachers that sent students to the office because they were happy about the election results. I know that the teachers wanted to teach but their depression and anger was simply too great. Oh, if I could be a fly on the wall at a few places, Oh what would I see and hear?
May be they were home praying...remember at one of the McCain-Palin rallys the prayer of their minister was about the Christian God's reputation was on the line if "their God" won the election????One never knows about the human reaction be it for or against...Did this minister mean a nonChristian God or a Black Christian God?
What is harder to do is hold one's self as being the looser...For me as long as we have freedom to vote our own conscious, we are all winners.
Isaac, I am the same way and I laugh at how there is a White man who (if he has any sense at all)if still alive will never spit on another 4 ft.11inch Black woman again. He will be reminded of this every time he looks into a mirror and see his own mouth for the rest of his natural life.I am a very peaceful and passive person until one tries to challange how proud I am to be Black with violent words/deeds!!!!
George, have the people in your coffee shop started talking about the colors of the African flag on stage after the acceptance speech of our president elect...(smile)oh, the colors of the American flag was there also all worn by the first and second family elect that night!

Brother Milliken,
I think the entire thing is really sad, because the bigots who hold these views are in the minority compared to the rest of the world. It just goes to show you that people who hold this type of bigotry in their hearts are small and insignificant creatures (smiles). I got a kick listening to Dr. James Dobson on his radio show today trying to explain what happened to his listeners. He was choked up and very emotional. It sounded like he wanted to cry or perhaps he had been crying. I am just happy that finally the results have come in and let the gain sayers keep quiet, because the people have spoken loud and clear according to John McCain -:)
