The Wake-Up Call
September 11, 2001 will always be at the forefront of most Americans' minds. But for me, I consider it a wake-up call, not justification for continuing wars against terror in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The world is becoming a dangerous place. And if we don't do more to quell damaged thoughts and feelings, we are going to live in a global village that is defined by the hurters rather than the helpers.
America was once the world's best hope for peace and tranquility. We led by example. But our foreign policy - support of Israel and Islamic militant groups - is fueling the fires that are raging uncontrollably in the hearts and minds of Middle Easterners. It doesn't take a genius to realize that our actions are increasingly being viewed as hypocritical by Middle Easterners and others around the world, but what do we do about it. Do we continue to exude self-righteous attitudes, or do we admit that our foreign policy has been flawed, tainted with the seeds of racism and exploitation?
What do you think? I look forward to reading your responses.

Jeffery, I beleive if we stop having selective memory and loss of ability to see that every thing has two sides, then we are still digging this pit that we are in. for example, America was attacked in New York in 1998...or was this a reason of our President not being a Republican or the U.S> did not declaredwar over America being attacked by a foreign enemy at that time?
Charges of war crimes is in our future if the UN has any thing to say about it. This phrase has been said in Congress about 4 months ago, "I have seen the enemy and the enemy is us"!
WAKE UP America???
