Cap Federal salaries in Congress!
StCyrlyMe2 says, I agree with the good Senator McCaskill, when she says she is going to present a bill to the Senate, calling for a reduction in the salaries, of all corporate heads, to match the same as the president, which is Four Hundred Thousand Dollars a year ( which to me is still to much), as long as they owe us, which is slightly better then the billions they currently get for nothing, when their leadership shows they deserve nothing, but to be locked up in jail.
I believe they Congress/Senate, are going to keep lying to us and telling us there is NO way for them to re-coup our stolen funds from these institutions, when there are people like myself, who has worked close to forty years in Government, with special emphasis in the Finance Arena, who knows they are selling us out, because as long as these firms have Capital, their accounts can and should be seized and it makes No difference who all the money has been distributed to,That is not the tax payer problem. We gave them our money and they can and should beholden to us, period. Their was never any kind of agreement with them, that would authorize them to pay themselves bonuses,weather it was written in the contract or not..
As long as they owe us money, they should be required to receive the same amount of pay as the President of the United States, who's salary is capped, like all Federal Employee's, which is another reason the Republicans hate Government. I would go further and ask the President to appoint a Independent Finance Committee, specifically to manage all the funds these failed agencies receive.' They would be responsible for writing checks to them, only after receiving receipts for whatever services our money is going for. This action will illuminate this obscene response we get from these criminals, that they don't know what happened to our money. we will keep our own track record and be in position to DENY, any services NOT, worthy.of public scrutiny, which should be a major requirement.
This action should please the Republicans, because it will stimulate the job arena and is NOT a pork project.as they so like to play around with. Marta, my only problem with this out cry is I heard this argument by members of Congress before the first Stimulus check was cut therefore this is the same as closing the barn door after all of the horses have gotten out..so why this loud out cry now?
every answer I can come up with in all of this is LOBBY money going to CONGRESS and now the farther away one can point to someone else the more I look at the one soing the pointing and yelling the loudest, NOW!!! This happened on Bush's watch with a Democrat majority!!!
Thank you President Obama for not taking that LOBBY, but I doubt if there is any way that you can protect anyone that helped sell this country out...This did not happen in only two weeks nor during your two years of campaign this started in the Clinton Whitehouse that created this Enron style bookkeeping that never stopped. It just got better and bigger until the PIPER came to be paid and it all fell apart.
It seem to me that the more a big business failed the bigger the pay to get rid of each CEO. The next CEO did an even worst job and their bonus was even more bigger than the last. Now America it must be called:fraud or not Christian behavior to treat the country like this. Pick your choice because everyone can not wait to say, "It was not me it was..."!!!
