The Athlete's Temptation: STEROIDS

More than ever many athletes are finding their way to taking and using steroids. Not only do we read about their tempest downfalls, we see many of them have come forth admitting to taking the drugs to perform better in their academic and professional performances. What makes this such a grave temptation? It could be that often they want to be the best and the best at any cost. Recently cases of steroid use among athletes are landing up in law courts where they are facing sentences for uses of steroids. It’s not only a temptation among the athletes, but physicians who are knowingly prescribing these drugs to them with little concern of their outcome. Often too, steroids are given in secret without having a recorded prescriptions the drugs. The worse case scenario of course, is when the athlete is stripped of their accomplished metals or their top trophies. It boils down to the endurance of having restraints of using steroid drugs for physical accelerations. Competition is better if the win is met with hard work, determination and drug free.
Resisting the temptation of drugs faces coaches, team players, and the individual athlete. In the end working honestly always is the best way to over come the steroids temptation. Hopefully, future athletes will take notes on a very lesson for true meaning success. One price of success is hard work and diligence. Then capturing the moment is Reverance!
