Well I guess I'm going to the other side of the planet with mine. I want a MAN who has been through a few things. He has to be as knowledgeable about what happens in the streets as well as being able to hold a intelligent conversation, and know the difference between a salad for and the dinner fork. I probably want too much, but le is short lol! I need him to be able to show is soft side when I need somes hugs and little love, not s*x, there is a difference. We hopefully will be of like minds, as we strive to meet some of our goals in life let some of them be on the same wave length s that we can grow together! Then give me a little ego, I like the ignorant unnecessary masculinity of a man! It's very s*xy. To break it down in easier terms, give me the bad boy who has found out that GOD is greater that everything!

Since men seem to listen to what a woman is looking for, a man who isn't a chameleon, a man of GOD, a strong man, a considerate and honest man, a man with principles and morals, a monogamous man, a man who takes care of himself and his family, a man who does not judge or act like the world owes him something, a man who will work hard for his family and with them, an even tempered man, a man of character, a real man, a man full of laughter and humor, someone wise, caring, funny, loving, giving, helpful, someone who will stand up to me but not feel I'm his competition, someone who will commit and mean it and someone just for me.

I would like to put my observations in if you don't mind. Back in the day, the men you describe were known as the "too nice" brothers. They were polite, well-mannered, worked hard in school, maybe even the nerd, the sub on the basketball team, or the debate team, or even the band. Actually, he was probably the guy most of them laughed at in school, or never mentioned in a conversation. Or, worst of all, he was one of those guys all the girls knew and felt like he was 'one of the girls'. He was always in plain sight, yet always overlooked.
How many of you have either said or heard someone say, "He won't do that to me, I can change him."? Why did you choose to go through that? What did you learn? I understand both your hurt and frustration. I hope that through the tears that you were able to learn something about yourself, compromising on what you expect can only give you less than what you want. There is a sad truth in this, yes, GOOD men are made, but they can't be made by you.
It seems that our goddesses simply want a man willing and able to step ALL the way up. Not because he is made to do so, but because he has chosen to do so. That means that he accepts the consequences of his choice and all of the responsibilities that may entail. He, in turn, would expect the same of you. Someone who understands how hard it is to fight the good fight alone and still be able to hold their head high. Someone who knows that the two of you, together, can overcome any obstacle, yet never forgetting the source of your strength. You are simply looking for someone who wants to step up because, I believe, my goddesses want to step up also. I believe that we all want to experience what Kimyon describes. It is my hope that each of you finds your special someone to share your life with, not to grow old with but to grow better with.
