Today is DAY 50 of the Obama era if you count Inauguration Day, when President Obama signed a proclamation before the cameras: 'This is my first official act. I'm a lefty – get used to it. I was told not to swipe the pen.' The RNC elves will be out today with a 'Research Briefing' headlined, '50 DAYS: NO GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY -- Obama's First 50 Days Have Brought Outrageous Spending, DVDs For Foreign Policy, Personnel Issues, And Little Change To Washington.' The DVDs refer to the president's gift to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
