This weekend has plenty of cultural events to attend and the Black Writers Conference and Southern Film Festival are among the finest of them. Black writers, and directors, along with multi-talented indivuals will fill downtown to celebrate and expo these great achievers in our town. My friend on the Connect Forum here, Lawrence Wayne is President and Founder of the Black Writiers Conference. In January he wrote me and informed me of the events to take place beginning this weekend and running through May 09, 2009. The Memphis Black Writers Conference & Southern Film Festival is partnering with the Black Business Expo & Showcase, Memphis Business Executives For Change, and the Blues City Cultural Center (who will be celebrating 30 years in theatrical productions).
