Are Black Americans, who are descendents of slaves free people or not?

At what point in time would you consider Black Americans, who are descendents of slaves to have come into their own?

Let me give you a comparative example that would help you to understand and intelligently answer my question.

Take the scenario of Moses, since we all know that the Hebrew people’s situation 4000 years ago is almost 100% the same as ours today. We are a racially subjugated people.

Okay, the argument that I am trying to make is at what point would you consider that Moses was successful in his task? In other words, Moses had taken his people so far, that no one could reverse the situation. So, at what point in the story of Moses would you know this?

To properly answer this question, you must first have a good understanding of Moses’ goal. Especially, will his goal put a permanent end to the racial conflict between the Hebrew people and Pharaoh, while simultaneously causing the Hebrews to become an independent people?

The point in time by which you would know that Moses was successful is when the sea closed back and separated Moses and Pharaoh from each other. I know that I am right, because Moses said these words to his people when they got to the other side of the Red Sea. He told his people to take account that the people you see now who had us in bondage for 400 years, you will see no more.

No Black leader has led us to the point yet, that we can say that our complicated racial predicament in White America we have reached the same point in time that Moses had reached.

This cannot be said of Dr. King, Elijah Muhammad, Min. Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Al Sharpton, Frederick Douglass and Bishop TD Jakes. Do I have a strong point here?

We are still within the grips of White America that no Black leader can legitimately say that our subjugation will be no more and simultaneously becoming a sovereign and independent people on a portion of this continent. That was my point.

What say you?

Leaders? Are we blind and ignorant? We don't need separation from everyone else on this continent, we need to dedicate ourselves to self-earned respect. Please, please, please ... stop w/all this "we need help" approach to life, Black people! THAT alone is our problem.

Greetings Mr. Amos,

Mr. Amos, you said that we do not need separation from everyone else on this continent. Well, that is not what I said, and separation is not what I want, either.

Sovereignty or complete independence from White America on a portion of this continent is what I want. Sovereignty implies a relationship with other foreign sovereign countries. At this level, Black Americans would naturally have their own hands on our own destiny, what could be better than that?

Do you disagree that we should not be a sovereign people? For instance, on May 16 the Rev. Al Sharpton will have a demonstration in Washington D.C. to bring attention that after 55 years of the Supreme Court historical decision of Brown vs. the Board of Ed., education for Blacks is still unequal. I feel that if we were autonomous we could do better for ourselves than what White America has been doing against us slavery ended. We are a different race of people than White people and we are not emigrants, either. We will have our own country as part of this continent. Am I right?

So, are you against the independence of Black Americans?

What say you?
