DISNEY UPDATE: FIRST BLACK PRINCESS AIN'T REALLY BLACK
There’s a new trailer for The Princess and the Frog and it’s got us scratching our heads. It turns out that when the princess kisses the frog that he doesn’t turn into the white (or is he) prince yet. She turns into a frog and then remains a frog for most of the film. What happened to our Black princess?? Not only is the prince of a lighter skin tone but we also see in this trailer that the voodoo witch doctor is a black man.
What’s YOUR take on all this? Watch the trailer below and speak on it!

It's a movie. Shrek was and remained ugly for most of Shrek. And in the end, the so-called 'pretty white girl' turned into an an ogre.
I don't see the big deal. The witch in most Disney movies is not black, so now that there's a black mainstay, I'm tempted to call this a move up. The cast itself also looks mostly black, which is almost a first for Disney animation.
That's my take so far. I'd have to see the whole movie to make a final judgment. At its face value, I don't see the big deal though.
Blessings...
