MICHEAL VICK VS. PETA: WHO'S KILLED MORE ANIMALS?

MICHEAL VICK VS. PETA: WHO'S KILLED MORE ANIMALS?

I’m mad that the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are able to continue to make former NFL star Michael Vick bow and kiss the ring like he's bowing to the pope. Not only were these clowns the main force behind Vick’s imprisonment for dog-fighting, but they’ve gone on record as promising to be hostile towards Vick’s reinstatement in the NFL and recently they’ve suggested that Vick may be a “psychopath”. The dynamic Vick was released from prison on May 20th after serving 20 months in the Big House for the previously mentioned violation.

Now, I’m not a big fan of dog-fighting. I think it takes a weird psyche to enjoy watching animals tear each other to pieces. My issue with the whole Vick thing has been from the beginning that the dogs he was accused of allowing to fight were his dogs. It wasn’t as if he’d borrowed a neighbor’s dog and returned it all chewed up. The property that was damaged was all his own and if a man can’t do what he wants to with his own property, perhaps we should reconsider the idea of pet ownership.

But of course, there’s my hatred for PETA. I mean these guys ain’t Jews, Blacks or Homos*xuals, why should anybody have to fear them? They do crazy stuff like throwing red paint on people that wear fur, running the risk of the paint getting into someone’s eye or windpipe, making themselves about as logical as the folks that kill abortion doctors. The hardest these cowards came at moose-killing Sarah Palin was to throw virtual snowballs at her.

Why are they allowed to shot-call with Mike Vick’s career?

Mike Vick is responsible for everything that is happening to him. He made choices and this is what comes with the choices he made. He should have read the entire manual on hosting dog fighting before he started the game.

It is very clear. It states "If you are a pro athlete, mulit-millionaire, and black. Then if you get caught hosting a dog fighting and/or gambling ring on your property you will be stripped of your money and you may never play pro sports again. You will be ridiculed in the media and made fun of on monologues for late night television. Also you will have thousands of fines and spend years in the legal system" You did'nt read the manual either?

Mozell, Mike Vick is the one who put himself in this position. Even if we don't understand why dog fighting is illegal, the overwhelming majority of us knows that it is, and certainly, in his circles, Mike knew, too. He chose to break the law and wasn't that good at hiding it.

Do I think he should pay for it for the rest of his life? No. No. And no. He's paid his debt to society and should be able to move on with his life. And I think he should be able to do it as a professional athlete if the league will have him again. It'll be his second chance and he'd be a fool to look a gift horse in the mouth. I highly doubt he'd make the same or similar decisions if given another shot.

Blessings...

Mozell, if nothing else time being locked up should have given him time to learn that they come after the ones with the deepest pockets. That being a super star sometimes gets you CAUGHT quicker and if for no other reasons is that you have more enemies / those who wants that spot you hold at the time(smile)

We are dealing with human nature, behavior and even more important...the need to survive and in Vick's posititon- SUPER EGO!

Sister Siebra, if this will allow Vick to return to football then this is his duty if it is football he still wants in his future...Remember that Kiss a--expression...

Mozell you are perfectly correct in what you say, because alcohol is a chornic drug and one can become addicted to a pepsi just as quick as a coke...but, like any thing else if we continue to not do our own thinking just as you did (may ----help you my brother)you will most likely get shut our; in the usual way & for the usual reasons. If our government can not tax it then it is I-L-L-E-G-A-L(smile)
