Gov. Mark Sanford admitted Wednesday he's been having an affair with a woman he visited on a secret trip to Argentina and said he'll resign as head of the Republican Governors Association. Sanford, a 49-year-old father of four, choked up during remarks to reporters.
What's next for the GOP?

It's just a sad state of affairs for the family of Sanford. May God have mercy on the U.S.A.

my family tree is from south carolina and i have never been able to set foot on that soil.
south carolina has a cultural history of Genocide against the Cherokee Nation and a conservative(baloney) history of rape, pedophilia, and selling their own children to be raped and pedophilized.
BS to all the so called white or so called blacks who talk as though a culture from south carolina, alabama, mississippi etc. is a family based culture, conservative culture, christian culture -----
its a dumbassed white n*gga d--evil culture...........
and while i'm at it, USA dropping bombs and killing/destroying in Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran is a dumbassed white n*gga d--evil culture.
Let us pray that Our Leader President Baraka Hussein Obama gives us CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN.

The world would be a better place if it weren't filled with hypocrites.

The Cherokee nation was before the usa theft and slavery, Native American people from Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Bottom line, we as so-called black, negro, africanamerican, tworaced american, hispanic nonwhite, hippity hoppity, rapey, moonwalking, roboting, or whatever 1865 was agreed to; think, act and believe as though our civilization, our history, our thinking, even our genes began in 1865--

I must say, any thing that the Dobson's menatlity has to say is out of this world, but will go to the link Jen to learn something...

As, he was with his mistress it seem on Father's day, I wonder how many women would rather have had him home as "head of the house" because the children will end up being a blite on society if they the mother play both roles of positive stability for the children...(smile)

Jen, why am I so suprised that the Conservatives are saying how open and honest this governor is to stand up and admit his violations of his marrage vows, his political dutys after no longer being able to cover them up!?! But, having tunnel vision has them unable to include the year long affair and father's day for his 4 children!!!!!!!!!!

With each republican s*xual scandal (marrage between a man and a woman)I chant(pray) that the Republican Conservative base will drop that Christain, Family Value slogan...But, then there is that tunnel vision in 2010?????...

ROBINSON IRMA Thursday, April 10th 2014 at 6:47PM

What I mean is people like this governor and even the Democrats like him make it much harder for the honest politicans to be able to have people trust them if they keep abusing the Family ,Christain value ideology...It was just a week ago that another politician a Senator was caught abusing the Conservative base which he ran under this umbrella of trust...

Mozell, probary more lust than love. I am hoping for his sake that it is just a short period of male menopause.Sociology says how some men in their 40s tend to see their lives passing before their eyes therefore they get the idea that a younger woman will allow them to be able to get the many jobs done in life that they have begun to believe they do not have time left to get these jobs / goals fullfilled.

I am willing to bet this woman is younger than his wife is and for the reasons stated already therefore maybe making this male middle age behavior sort of a form of temporary insanity, I guess...

I just visited the link. As I read it I was thinking about **** Cheney when he refused to answer a direct question about his gay daughter as related to marriage between a man and a woman. He did say that his daughter was in a long term committed relationship. Which 'marriage' would be better for the children, the one of his daughter or the one of the governor of S.C.? Because , I believe being prejudice or judgemental on either is wrong as we have no way of knowing how life (is, has been healthy or not)for either of these 'marriages' as a relationship one way or the other...

I will repeat once again that life changes from moment to moment therefore we should never stop learning how to not make the same mistakes over again. It is the COVER -UPS that is so distructive in the long run...I am so proud of Mrs. Sanford for trying to protect her children as the main players in this marriage and not the public.I am very upset with the governor for trying so very hard to not take full responsibality for his year long affair, and the abuse of his office trying to show how he was above THE adultery of Senator John Edwards while he was having an affair at this S-a-m-e Time!!!!!!
