Peace To All,

Steve McNair was killed today!!! His death comes on the heels of the loss of one of our musical icons, Michael Jackson. I am deeply saddened to hear of his demise but I can only imagine he is in a better place. Lord, If it ain't one thing it is another one. God Rest his soul...Steve LaTreal McNair (February 14, 1973 - July 4, 2009)[2], nicknamed Air McNair, was an American football quarterback in the National Football League. He was originally drafted by the Houston Oilers third overall in the 1995 NFL Draft. He played college football at Alcorn State.McNair was selected to the Pro Bowl three times and was the Co-AP NFL MVP in 2003.In his senior season, McNair gained nearly 6,000 yards rushing and passing, along with 53 touchdowns. In the process, he surpassed more than a dozen records and was named an All-American. In addition, McNair won the Walter Payton Award and finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting behind Rashaan Salaam and Ki-Jana Carter.

Peace, Prospersity, & Spiritual Blessings to all members,

Here's one or history/sports buffs: he was the last quarterback to wear the Houston Oilers jersey. Good guy, big heart, mad skills ... taken way too soon.

He played at the same school that my father Lonzo Lucas Sr graduated from. What a major loss considering that he cared about the community, and in this age of the athlete where the headlines point to scandal after scandal, Steve managed to avoid all of that stuff, so with that being said his passing is that much more monumental!!! I will miss him R.I.P. Steven McNair.....You deserve it.

My son heard on the radio that McNair had been having an affair with the twenty-year-old woman for several months and that she shot him before shooting herself. The horrific part of the story is that McNair was MARRIED WITH FOUR SONS. So, not only is he leaving his wife and four sons, his wife must explain to those four sons HOW their father died. Terrible and a story told over and over again. The selfish and non-thinking people in this world are too many . . . My heart goes out to Mrs. McNair and he four sons.

With the passing of so many people, I wanted to share from God's Holy Word on what the real Heaven holds in store for those who have put their trust in the Jesus of The Bible. For many years I thought that once someone passed on, I would never see them again. Thanks be to God that I found in studying God's Holy Word that nothing could be further from the truth -- for believers in Jesus The Christ. For those who have asked Jesus to be their Lord and their Savior, even had we spent a thousand years with one another on planet earth, it wouldn't come close to comparing to the ETERNITY that will be spent with Him and our loved ones once we breathe our last breath here. We see from the description of Heaven in God's Holy Word a place of splendor and glory where, once there, there will be no more sorrow and no more pain. Not only that, but just the thought of FOREVER being in the presence of The One Who made it all possible for me to be there, is more than I have words to say. In examining God's Word about Heaven, we see the utter beauty -- streets of CLEAR gold, for example. Think about dancing on those streets FOREVER. We are told of the singing -- NONSTOP praise and worship being sung to The One Who paid the full and complete price for our salvation. Think about it, no one whose voice isn't beyond beautiful singing to Him -- honoring Him -- telling Him how grateful they are for all He did. May none of us move to Heaven before we've finished ALL The Lord has for us to do on planet earth, but may we rejoice over those who have moved to Heaven and not be overcome with sadness and sorrow -- they're sure not.

1 Thess. 4:13-14 (The Message) -- ... regarding the question, friends, that has come up about what happens to those already dead ... we don't want you in the dark any longer. First off, you must not carry on over them like people who have nothing to look forward to, as if the grave were the last word. Since Jesus died and broke loose from the grave, God will most certainly bring back to life those who died in Jesus.

Rev. 21:4-5 (NASB) -- ... He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain ... He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new" ...

Rev. 1:13-15 (NASB) -- ... I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters.

Rev. 21:21 (NASB) -- ... And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

Rev. 7:9 (The Message) -- ... I saw a huge crowd, too huge to count. Everyone was there—all nations and tribes, all races and languages. And they were standing, dressed in white robes and waving palm branches, standing before the Throne and The Lamb and heartily singing: Salvation to our God on His Throne! Salvation to The Lamb! All who were standing around the Throne ... fell on their faces before the Throne and worshiped God, singing: Oh, Yes! The blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving, the honor and power and strength, to our God forever and ever and ever! Oh, Yes!

Rev. 19:1 (Amplified Bible) -- ... I heard what sounded like a mighty shout of a great crowd in Heaven, exclaiming, Hallelujah (praise The Lord)! Salvation and glory (splendor and majesty) and power (dominion and authority) [belong] to our God!

Is the mainstream media making this death something that may end up in a scaldal???? Or, is it that something is just wrong with this picture on the true relatiionship of these two people???

I am worried for the privacy and this great loss of these two people's family.

We in the Black community must always continue to believe the, "WE SHALL OVER COME" as a way of life which is the same as having never ending 'faith' that sunshine always follow the storm...

Brenda, I have faith in this mother of those four young boys will see that her sons be able to love and respect the good and the joy that their father brought in his time on earth...
