Fox Is at it again: Using "Toms" to Slam other Blacks & this time FoxSports Slams Serena Williams!

Jason Whitlock needs his ASS whupped big time!!! How dare he disrespect my sister Serena Williams like that??? I bet he wouldn't dare say that to Oprah, now would he???

Sister Irma I don't watch Fox, but it sounds suspect. It's all about divide and conquer as well as the ratings! Sister Siebra you took the words right out of my mouth. Did you get a look at him? He has to be at least pushing 375Lbs easily. It's just really "Uncle Tomish" in my opinion. Did you get a look at the comments to his commentary? It's totally disgusting and to think he's probably married to a black woman or has daughters. Utterly disgusting!!

Wow that's a good practice (documenting this rubbish) in order to make a case out of it. I hate Fox News, but I guess it would serve me some good to watch for the purposes of bringing it down or causing it to change it's ugly ways.

While I agree to an extent w/the pushback to this guy's article, it is what it is: a person's assessment that's meant to get people talking ... about him.

That being said, he's way off assuming Serena can be bigger than Tiger and whoever else he mentioned (I read it but too lazy to go back for accuracy), and she HAS dominated women's tennis over the last 10 years. Remarkably BOTH sisters have.

But he does make valid points, too -- however crude they may seem. Take Tiger Woods & Kobe Bryant for example. These guys dedicate themselves to their craft and physical conditioning. Part of what gives Tiger his total mystic over the media is that he's the fittest guy on the tour. By FAR. Had he been a Black Daley(sp?, the Whit guy who's notorious for being a drunken, fat goler), he would be slammed as well. I know most Black guys like 'em thick, but thickness is usually related to laziness. Sorry, but it just is.

So, I see both sides. A brother dissing a sister in national media -- especially on a right-wing network -- just isn't going to fly in our community. But also, I'm a big fan of those who take pride in their image and who "want" to dominate their respective fields. (That's huge -- I tell my son that he has to "want" to be the best at something.) Now Venus is another story!

Although I can relate to what you have said, you are right it just isn't cool for this guy to down another Black on a network like Fox. Did you get to click onto the actual MSN FoxSports link to read the comments that others left? They were not cool at all and I found them racist, s*xist, and very derogatory to Black women.

Looks ARE everything in sports and entertainment. Name me ONE short, fat, ugly musical 'superstar' - you can't. Have you ever seen a short, fat ugly female country music 'star' ? No. Ever see an ugly male or female athlete in a TV commercial ? Nope. Hell, if Maria Sharapova would stop the damned GRUNTING, she'd be worth 3X more in endorsements. Same with Monica Seles.

Jen, I find it very, very interesting how I saw the post you did on 7-16 and todaym 7-17 fox has replaced the White co-anchor on their program LIVE DESK with a Black female Harris Falkner(most likely misspelled) and she was giving a while to talk about how her husband is a golfer and how he is jumping with JOY because tigar Woods is struggling to just stay in his latest tournment???

do you believe this to be a coincident or a reply to blogs like this one about hosw Black people watch and agree with these 'healthy' reportsl like thes sound bites on our Black community? jen, this is why my group spends so much time monitoring Fox and all of the big three. we make it a point to document the time, program date and name.This is a habit we got from NAACP, when it was what it was suppose to be) because it takes at least years of documentation to even get to put in a good complaint...one of the by words of NAACP , back then, is how suprised we are when we win...but, NAACP has hit bottom, because lack co Black membership has caused them to hit rock bottom. and actually it is more of each state is on it's own right now...but, I chant (pray) that those like my generation will return and bring this one along with us...some times I give out too much information our to any one who can listen and make what I am trying to tell my people something that is distructive when I am trying to do something constructive...information about us from us and not by way of the racist media or word of mouth...

Jen, this is tied to the misunderstnding that we had on another blog...I always try to speak from my life experiences. I can take all sides of most of the issue because I have lived both sides of the issue. I am so glad that you younge people have beeen spared this...no, unlike most of you young people you think that back then before the 60s was bad...so I will put it to you and Siebra like this. How can something be Bad when it has never been any thing else. segragation was normal because this is all we had in the south...we just wanted it better for you. after we found out just how bad it was for us. Fox never talked about R upart Murdox ,saying how we should be grateful that we were brougnt here as slaves because if we had not we would still be in Africa running around naked in those jungles. Now did they?

Fox never cover how R.M. is being sued and loosing every case(in europe) because of what his papers in Euorpe prints and those many racist statements he seem as if he can not stop him self saying. America is the only place there our own laws are preventing us from putting a stop to this kinds of behaviors . In America it is too easy to get protections by way of the Supreme court supporting 'freedom' of speech!!!! Like when they deemed burning crosses on our lawns, FREEDOM of speech.

But, in our practice of YES WE CAN, the KKK was sued out of existence as they were in this country!but, and because we have an NAACP in name only, this is exactly what Al Sharpton is trying to do in New York right now(and the majority of us do not know this, we will when it gets big enough for them to come in with their brand as they did in Jena, La.!!!!!!).But, we can not get a way over there on the the mass cable news media to EDUCATING' the Black community on this.How the state of N.Y. being put up as an example of what Fox is allowed to do over there on Fox which is all over the planet teaching this bull and how this is a violation of our Federal laws, because this is shown across state borders all the way form their N.Y. headquarters to my state of Ca.!!!!!!!!

Here you will be able to learn why you do not have to watch FOX at all in order to help this caus of our people. You just keep on posting these blogs as you do and putting out those links..
