It was an amazing visual to see the a black president addressing the 100 NAACP Convention.

I love the fact that he not only exposed self responsibilty and said that there were no more excuses but that he did so from a position of love not superiority. Click the link below to watch the entire speech:

I thought the speech was excellent and really gave credit to the civil rights movement for making the presidency of Obama possible.

Obama is a gift from God ! For those who criticize his reliance on a teleprompter, I would like to see McCain match this. Forget about it, Obama has a gift. He was right, parents also need to step up in responsibility, I live in a neighborhood where Black and Mexican people are present and this is a major issue in the Black and Mexican community. In my/our experience, unfortunately, our community spends too much time watching BET videos (yeah, listen who's talking) and/or smoking weed. And he's right - not just ballers & rappers should take responsibility in building our community! Thank you. Since about the early 90's, when MTV let all those gangster rappers become more than what they really are, that was such a disservice to our communities, HE IS DEFINITELY CHANGE WE CAN ALL BELIEVE IN!

Siebra, your statement about John McCain made my think about what you said is like telling a Catholic preist who preaches (or reads) his sermons in mass to go to a Black church and deliever one of those hell and damnation Sermons, and I laughed until I cried...

Even Lou Dobbs with his racist self had to admit that our president sounded like a Black preacher...I seriously believe that he was thikning about rev. Wright or Minister Farrakhan...I just love it, I love it, I love it!!!!!!
