Medical Marijuana Sold in Stores
Watching the national news media, I was drawn to the attention of the reports of medical marijuana being sold in stores like novelty shops. Most of the shops focused in on the stores in California cities where the proprieters sells medical marijuana. "Why, I never even dreamed I see this day." " I must be really naive".., I thought to myself. I don't know, but I am very much aware that this drug is sold for medical purposes, but I didn't realize it was sold in shops and stores that a spreading like wildfires. Medical marijuana shop owners not only sell the weed, but they grow it in the shops as well. Feeling somewhat obsolete to all facts, I should know that one of my own family members is prescribed to use medical marijuana for treatment of glacoma. I found I had completely dismissed the fact that it could be sold in public stores. Somewhere along the way I became diluted in thoughts that perhaps it was only at the local pharmacy stores. Then listening attentively, the story continued with the government wanting to place a tax on the precriptions of the users of the drug. However, some government officials feel that will only broaden the door to the street value, because many medical marijuana users would only turn to the black market to buy their drugs there. Some doctors who precribe the drug to their patients are against taxing the drug and one physician said in a similiar quote " prescription drugs do not always help patients who are using medical marijuana, and many precription drugs come with too many side effects and are habit forming. Medical marijuana usually carry no side effects and is not normally habit forming at all." He went on to say that the patients using the precribed medical marijuana are actually being helped. It's looks as if the shops that opening up everyday have little chance to be shut down and that the medicial marijuana is here to stay. Man! how have things changed! "I must really lead a simple life", but I must remember "I am in the world even if I am not of it." It's open and it's shut. Medical marijuana stores are to remain open. What do you think?
