Your Thoughts Re: AntiHealth Care Reform Opponent forwards pic of Obama as "African folk doctor from the bush"

The election of our first black president has brought with it a strange proliferation of online racism among conservatives. And we've got the latest example. On Sunday night, Dr. David McKalip forwarded to fellow members of a Google listserv affiliated with the Tea Party movement the image below. Above it, he wrote: "Funny stuff."
Now, Tea Party activists trafficking in racist imagery are pretty much dog bites man. But McKalip isn't just some random winger. He's a Florida neurosurgeon, who serves as a member of the American Medical Association's House of Delegates.

He's also an energetic conservative opponent of health-care reform. McKalip founded the anti-reform group Doctors For Patient Freedom, as well as what seems to be a now defunct group called Cut Taxes Now. Last month he joined GOP congressmen Tom Price and Phil Gingrey, among others, for a virtual town hall to warn about the coming "government takeover of medicine." And in a recent anti-reform op-ed published in the St. Petersburg Times, McKalip wrote that "Congress wants to create larger, government-funded programs for health care and more bureaucracy that ration care and impose cookbook medicine."...

{MacKalip is blaming Liberal bloggers for tampering with email. Why do Republicans often blame others for their mis-steps? Just my 2 cents worth. I'd be interested to know your thoughts. Why should we listen to groups like the one MacKalip represents for our knowledge of Univ Health Care Reform? All comments are welcomed.}

..."At least it seem the one who started this with his TEa Party idea has said he was leaving"...

Sister Irma I'm sure that it's just a front until the heat dies down. Brother Clark you are so right about the desperation, but these people are suppose to be better than us Minorities with their law and medical degrees.

Sister Jen, when I see prejudice (ignorant) stuff like this. it just shows how the reason that Magic Johnson is the picture of health with aides that so many of our citizens with aides ins not...Yes we can...if not for teachings like this keeping us not able to unite and help each other over come a government that is so dedicated to the pharmicutial lobby money isn't it my sister??????!!!?

This is also why I want the health reform bill to not get signed right now. This is allowing many of us to be able to get behind the scenes and see the real deal on our government. As a rule, we only get to see a lot of themin action out on the campaign trail with the same old same old and not seeing them actually HARD at work or who is getting all of the resistance is tied with lobby pay offs.

Please keep helping us to keep them honest with your information that is so vital...this is CHANGE(smile)

According to RAcheal Maddow as she announced on her program, it seem this group has gotten more heat than they could stand and will be disbanning. At least it seem the one who started this with his TEa Party idea has said he was leaving...
