Your Thoughts Re: Does the US Congress Really Care about all Americans having equal access to Health Care?

WASHINGTON – Senate Democrats alone cannot pass President Barack Obama's ambitious overhaul of how Americans receive health care, a top lawmaker acknowledged on Sunday. Republicans said they will continue their opposition to a plan they say is simply a government takeover of private decisions.

Both sides said they want to improve the system and provide care for almost 50 million Americans who lack health insurance coverage, but they remain deeply divided over how to reach that goal. Republicans said the longer the delay, the more the public understands the stakes of a policy that has vexed lawmakers for decades...
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said they are "80 percent" in agreement on what a final version will include and are making progress.

"Now, we're at the final 20 percent and we're trying to work through those details," Axelrod said during one appearance... That final piece, however, will require GOP backing — something Sen. Mitch McConnell said was unlikely. The Senate minority leader said congressional Democrats are having difficulty selling a health care bill to their own members.

"The only thing bipartisan about the measure so far is the opposition to it," said McConnell, R-Ky.

Sister Irma,
I hear you loud and clear on that one vote deal. They (the Congress) in there to work for me and represent my interests as well. I don't understand how these folks continue to allow greed and lobbyist to continue to dictate to them what is important at the expense of the people (American citizens) who elected them. This world is a dog-eat-dog world... I think that's the saying. If it isn't the correct saying, I'm sure Brother Craig Amos will correct me. (((Lol)))

Lets be real, Health care reform is for low income minorities, so it is only a concern to BIA and trailer park folks. Racial profiling is only about minorities so it also is a concern of only a minority of voters. we, BIA, choose democracy of slaveMaster so let us just follow Our Leader President Baraka Hussein Obama and show some courage as he does.

Speaking only for my self,"I" voted for my politicians to go to Wahsington to work for my best interest...I say MY because I only get one vote. And, I promise you < "I" never ever let them forget it!

"I" also believe if we get out of this life long(?) habit of not looking out for our selves because it is much easier to sit and point fingers and blame everyone but our own selves then we deserve to be over ruled each time by the interest of those like the insurance companys and the oil companys. for example,

All we can hear is the papers have not been read and we need more time...does anyone in the sight of this comment remember when Hillary clinton said she never read the papers that got us into a to WAR that to this day we are still getting killed and injured in a war with a country that has done us no harm short of wanting to be M-U-S-L-I-M-S in peace! and , because just like the way they helped Saddam over throw the last government when they wanting something else, they had their G-O-D given rights to do it again, AT THEIR CHOOSING!!!!!!? And, that is not all, How many years has Saddam been dead?!?How many nuclear wepons found in that country???

Now the word is when president Obama said he did not have all of the facts on dr. Gates' arrest , why did he not leave it there? Now is this not the same person who said the same thing about why we should not have invaded Iraq!!!???

The Republicans are now concerned about job loses...lets see how many American jobs were lost to Cina and India? And, did I hear any thing of any one pointing fingers and putting blame for it over the whole of 8 years!!!!1...

I WILL BE BACK...after I let us take a good look at our own selves...

robert does have something there.for example,

How many programs that helped the poor got cut whan the programs to give money to rich farmers after they admited they did not need this money from our government? what about that plane they never have flown an inch and was not needed yet they kept buliding it until just now? the big three oil producers get monies from the government so do the insurance companys...W-H-Y??!!!?

The only problem is , is that the poor and people with dark skin ARE the majority in the real world. The only thing is that the rich are the majority when it comes to going directly to congress to get support for what they want from them. And, what do we do, we just continue to sit around complaining and pointing fingers and nothing else.I will not even talk about not voting at all, because we have a complaint and do point fingers here as the reason for not voting also!!!

The time we spend complaining hereon this site can take half this time on the computer sending an email to our political representative and we will become just as powerful as the lobby for their needs and wants...
