GEICO Car Insurance to Pull Advertisements Away from Glenn Beck Program

Insurance Company Joins Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance and SC Johnson in Distancing Themselves from FNC Anchor

OAKLAND, Calif.--Adding to a growing list of advertisers distancing themselves from controversial Fox News personality Glenn Beck, GEICO has pledged to re-direct their advertisements away from Beck's program on the Fox News Channel. The decision by GEICO comes on the heels of announcements made last week that LexisNexis-owned Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance and SC Johnson were distancing themselves from Beck after the news host called President Obama a "racist" who "has a deep-seated hatred for white people."

"On Tuesday, August 4, GEICO instructed its ad buying service to redistribute its inventory of rotational spots on FOX-TV to their other network programs, exclusive of the Glenn Beck program," said a spokesperson for GEICO Corporate Communications in an email to ColorOfChange.org. "As of August 4, GEICO no longer runs any paid advertising spots during Mr. Beck's program."

"We applaud GEICO and all of the other companies who have stepped forward to pull their ads from Glenn Beck," said James Rucker, executive director of ColorOfChange.org. "Beck's rhetoric is dangerous to the fabric of our democracy, and we are heartened that so many big companies feel the same way. We won't stop here -- we're going to continue our fight to see that as many of Beck's advertisers pull their support as possible."

Two weeks ago, ColorOfChange.org called on its 600,000-plus members to sign a petition urging companies who advertise on Glenn Beck to cut off their advertising support of his work. More than 75,000 members responded to the call by signing a petition directed at advertisers.

Last week, ColorOfChange.org received confirmation from LexisNexis that they pulled their ads from Beck and have no plans to advertise on the program in the future. Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance and SC Johnson called the Beck advertising placements an error that they would correct.

The ColorOfChange.org email urged members to go visit http://www.colorofchange.org/beck/, where they could send letters to executives of target companies. With more than 600,000 members, ColorOfChange.org is the largest African-American online political organization in the country.

This post is being sent as a question to mainly the so-called men who are responsible for or comment on the blogs posted on BlackInAmerica. And the so-called people who are in harmony with such a filthy expression. The question is: what type of divine thinkers are you. What type of divine thinkers would throw insults or disrespect towards others participants on this site. What type of divine thinkers would support a person who causes constant embrassment to themselves in the eyes of the wise or better yet, what type of divine thinkers would support a member who calls another member such vulgar names in a blog comment without any investigation to see if what they are saying has any truth to it.

The answer is NO REAL DIVINE THINKER. The Quran and Bible (doesn't matter what version you read) states that God is no respecter of persons and neither should anyone who wants to be like Allah.

You detractors and you know who you are and how you are contributing and all the others are clearly the worst type of those who “say” they admire our idea of liberation and unity. However, you produce nothing but more lies, sickness and more stupidity. You all are doing the opposite of what the elders have been taught, one of which is to be an example for your young. If you claim yourself to be an example for us, you clearly would not be sitting behind your computers/laptops displaying such despicable behavior. You males and I do mean males; because REAL men do not cater to, nor support such actions. You are just as equally responsible. And to the former NOI members that are encouraging the people that I'm speaking about to keep driving off of the cliff THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR YOU EITHER.

So take a good guess and see where you will end up. In legal terms you all are conspirators and conspirators meet the same fate, sometimes worst than the one who committed the crime. All of what has been stated by those who frequent this site to any divine thinker can be easily checked and proven to be true. However, we know that truth is not your allegiance – your allegiance is to lies, corruption, ignorance, sorrow and wickedness. You all represent the enemy of God and will be just like modern day Babylon and fall. Because you have become a haven and I do mean haven for every foul spirit and hateful bird (person).

It is written; no one will wage war with the divine and win. God has produced real men who answer the call of war joyously and who love to fight in the cause of liberation. So just as we speak may this behavior reach the end of you all’s foolishness going unanswered. To you diligent and dutiful workers for the negative force in creation; you lost one and don’t be surprised as your numbers of lost ones increase. It is a sign of the time. Malcolm, Martin, and even Minister Farrakhan has already forewarned you of your destination and until you reach it, you will be living with blood on your hands, while we live with the light of God in us.

You all can continue to respond and try to combat truth and we will do as Malcolm X said “knock the brains out of falsehood”. Also, I encourage the NOI members to read the book "A Torchlight For America" by Minister Louis Farrakhan and refer to the section in Ch. 10 entitled "Treason" and decide for yourselves if THAT is what you want to be a part of.

2. People like them like to create chaos--they're filled with hatred and pain. Some have an EGO problem wherein they edge GOD out.

3. People like them should be growing tired of making World Wide Web fools of theirselves. What people like them are missing is that while they continue to shoot bullets at a bulletproof vest, we are like the folks on CSI: Miami solving the case. And we don't need to gain any power, multiple blog hits, or fame by stepping on anyone.

And, his answer to his own question of these tv /political active preachers by saying they all now must be hiding their Christian Bibles under their beds so they can remain out of the public view on this because God would be on the side of our president in trying to help those who are suffering so much...

but, I guess they do not want to face the music because now when they try to come after those backing the former president like Bill Clinton they get the , well the Democrats did not run on the Christian family value ticket as you Republicans did...

In the TV guide for Aug, 10-23 they have the salarys of some on Tv's cable news anchors listed. Gleen Beck's yearly salary is $2 million . Bill O'Reilly's listed as$10 million. Sean Hannity's salary is not listed but, as he has two programs on fox to O'Reilly's one program, I am sure that he makes far, far more than Beck AND O'reilly put together.LOL

But, not to worry, because with the rate that the owner of Fox loosing so many law suits both here and in England and others like Al sharpton coming after New Youk for breaking its own laws by allowing Rupart M.to have all of thiose media outlets in one place this is going to affect the Fox's network's down sizing . This forced down sizing due to having to pay out big $$$ has already forced other top anchors with high salarys to not be there in the past 6-7 months. but, this leaving over at fox could be related to these persons just refused to lower their personal standards created over many years of actual coverage of the news and not just persoanl and political party limits on their being seen as intellegnt peoples...or maybe they saw the writtings on the wall mush like most of those that they have on( today as regular guest, program hosts/hostess and political analyst ) who jumped the Bush's administration's sinking ship(smile)

Brother clark, I loved Keith Olbermann's commentary in answer to Sarah Palin's exploiting one of her childern yet once again to get her freedom of speech rights to do hate speaking just as she did during the campaign.And how then trying to retract it after Republicans came against her over this on force.

Olbermann of msnbc's program COUNT DOWN showed a picture of two men being hung by the KKK and explained how this is the death panel that existed in this country. He challenged those trying to bring this kind of death panel back as active???!!!

But, even more important Olberman had a professor of Black study to speak as an EXPERT on the needs of this kinds of speeches by those like Palin and he wanted a look from the eyes of the African-American as related of all of this behavior as being so needed in America right now...

and yes her answers and explinations were the exact as those just expressed by Clark.(smile) because this is C-H-A-N-G-E that is going to become more in our public media by way of print, local and national tv news and programs that we see ...this is good, thank your Republican right-wingers.LOL
