SURE IS A SHAME...

The Troy Davis story is what is being circulated on Newsone.com. However, I'm speaking in terms of what White America expects us (Black America) to do (riot) by killing our people in the street like a dog. More on this topic later....

I am happy to hear about Troy Davis have a stay of execusion in order to get a new trial as declared by the Judge, but I am really tired of black on black crime. Vernon Forrester was shot in the head for trying to get his wallet back from robbers. Vernon was outnumbered. Those guys could have probably given him a beating or perhaps not if they knew who he was being a professional boxer, but the point is I don't have any sympathy for them. Two wrongs don’t make it right. When white cops kill our Black men, we want justice so why should we hold a double standard when Black men kill other Black men?!

I just recently saw the documentary done by CNN Don Lemon about the Crime in Chicago with the Black on Black crime so this may be what is driving my response {but I don’t think so} Although I do understand the point you are making with the Sean Bell case and others of our people who have been struck down by brutality and no justice has come since the cops got off free.... those are separate issues in my opinion.

Police brutality occurs with Latinos, immigrants, as well as with Blacks. In as much as I believe there needs to be better legislation and training for police to ward off police over kill with minorities coupled with tighter gun control laws this Black men killing other Black men violently in cold blood how does one try to explain this as acceptable. Then there are people in the Hip Hop community promoting the "No Snitch" rubbish where Black mothers can't even get closure and find out who killed their babies. The mother's of Biggie Smalls, Tupac Shakur, and Jam Master Jay of Run DMC (and so many more) are still waiting to find out who murdered their sons.

I hear you Sister Siebra, but enough of this violence already.

So sorry, but I am unable to fully understand what is going on in this matter. example, Are some people calling for taking the matter to the streets?!? And, for which of these cases will they be taking to the steets on?!?

But, Siebra, I will be the first of the old timeers to admit how much would love to see just one riot caused by racism(right-wingers) done like we use to do back in the 60s....lov ya

I agree with you sister Jen1000%. Two wrongs do not make a right...but when we do not get equal justice under the law then that is three wrongs...I see so much about the police departments' abusing suspects , their police reports until I find it very hard to be able to tell who is doing what / which said crime...
