Sister Irma, respectfully, I submit that as the President is the leader of our nation, and serves US, we can question his actions, respectfully. The financial situation is untenable. All citizens, of all races, will suffer if he does not do the right thing, be he black, white, Bush, Obama, whoever. There are some big questions that need to be answered:

I frankly do not know what to say our president should/should not do. Nor what he can/cannot do, more importantly.

I detest the media, so I do not watch. One could say I am an ostrich, but if I'm only listening to lies, why should I listen? The big (biggest) part of our current problems is the media. But didn't Obama capitalize on the media to the fullest extent?

I get my news here on the Internet, hopefully always to be a free media. And what I'm hearing about things like Earl has posted, the Fed being unaccountable, the new world order, is alarming in the extreme. Obama promised us change. I hope to God he will deliver, to the fullest he is able.

The thing is, this stay in school speech is a non issue. On 9/11 as soon as I heard, I went and got all my kids out of school. A bunch of other parents were wondering "what should we do?" Like a kid missing a day of school is more important than an event of that magnitude?

Parents are not victims here. If they want their kids to here their President, let them. If they don't take them out of school. Doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks is right.

But it would be sad if Obama's message to stay in school would result in the opposite, if only for one day.

If I still had kids in school, I would do this: tell them to go to school and listen to the President. When they come home ask them what they heard and have a family discussion. Don't parents know how to parent anymore?

Irma, I will take your advice and watch some of these shows, though I don't have even basic cable here.

You know I love and respect you and treasure your words. I will do everything in my power to help our President, as I would hope all Americans would. I expect the same from him, and as we have here, it is dialog that benefits, without taking antagonistic positions. It is human nature to draw the lines and join one camp or the other. This must be overcome. I am neither Democrat or Republican. If I could change my spots, I would not be any identifiable race, other than human.

I said on a post of Siebra's that the President talking to the inner city black youth (this was on the subject of all the children gunned down right near Obama's neighborhood) might be one of the most positive things that could happen. We will see next Tuesday what he has to say, and if our agenda is aligned, and we will keep striving towards that one goal we all have.

Irma, we are a little out of sync, as we are typing at the same time. Just realize that I may be responding a comment or two back.

I have no doubt that our President is legal. I abhor any personal attacks against him and will deal only with his policy.

This is a crazy situation with race and politics all mixed together (and let's throw in some religion for good measure). But we will sort it out.

I have no love for any that make personal attacks. So we must step up the attack. Glen Beck has not yet been silenced, he's still attacking on this latest issue. Put more pressure to bear.

I also have to say again we are dealing also with the crowd mentality and not just the talking heads. We are not a nation of critical thinkers, else the talking heads would have no power.

And Barack Obama is no weakling. He will persevere, and we will persevere. I do not have the power of the presidency, but I have my own power, as do we all, and that is all we can do, to apply it to greatest effect.

You would think out of all this time Irma that children will want to hear from their nation's leader. So much in the past America's president did not even think of visiting, or even giving a vague thought to school or educatiion as far as coming to speak. It's so ridicolous! I can't seem to make any sense of it, but I am glad we have a president that has a concern for education and students who may even benefit for hearing what he has to say. ...So few seem to be genuine in trying to resolve problems, but only to authentic to create chaos! ....Some lessons are never learned well.

Steve, this is the problem of our having no chioce but to watch manipulated and misleading news in this country. example

1. Was all of this debt caused in the past 8 months...or deos it cover those that the last administration never paid in the first place?

2. Are those thousands of middle-calss jobs lost in the past 8 months or some of thoses out sourced to China and India?

And, until we are able to face the truth, the whole truth we should not even start to say our president should or should not do...remember we are the government...

Now Steve because you are my brother I will give you a little lecture.(smile) You did (I hope) hear our president say that he was going to need all of us / some of us to help him put the government back in the hands of the citizens and not the Lobby? What he meant by this was, we would have to try an get some changes on our local level.

Now what I do is something I have been doing fro a long time now...trying to get someone on the three cable news to get some EXPERTS on the Black community like professors, scientist and socialogist as guestwith media time not to gust come on in an argument about race problems but as human beings and a few Black anchors and even more needed is actual news about our race and culture that is actuall from our point of view and not from theirs. And, why is this well it has to do with these White people only see us as ,we are :stupid, violent and school drops, in jail, on drugs, etc. Try to get the media past our president being anti-American, anti-Christian and every thing they can come up with like he is another Hitler out to destroy the minds of our children therefore....

Now I wish you would at least watch MSNBC the programs Count Down/ Rachael Maddow because these are the only actual cable news programs that talk about the Black community now that Jackson and Sharpton got fired from being the Black talking heads when they went to act like black community leaders in Jena. la.You will also see how they are trying to defend those Black men hired by our president to watch out fo rus. One is the head of the brand new DIVERSITY department at the FCC. His job is to go after the complaints of the viewer about the media especially Fox manipulating and lying about our president: not born in America, trying to get their children to disobey their parents and not be such racist(?)Or maybe giving Glenn Beck the 24/7 coverage that they gave don Imus as Fox being FAIR AND BALANCE.And, to have a full investigation of Fox network after MSNBC network accuse them of allowing Beck to use his program to call for the assination of our president.

steve, Mr. Obama is the American president and he can not defend only the Black community...so remember what I said as the begining about our president saying he would need us to help him....(smile)

Clark you are so right, and here is something we can all do. Call your children's schools and ask this also in your church and in you communitys,on Sunday.

You see J.F.K was trying to become the first non Christain president even though he was White he was Catholic and the Pope was going to use Kennedy to take over America.

Yes Steve and this is why I watch so many news shows just to critique them. and a lot of the problems that America has right now has a lot to do with Jackson and Sharpton. example now you see even Black professors talking about our communitys. And, the priceless gem about what I learned about Van Jones(our president's head of the green jobs)Beck has called everything Jones says and does is anti-American and the rest of FOX has taken this up so now the other stations are taking it up also. The gem is that the person Jones is and his teachings of his ideals is in a book that is so successful it is in print in 6 countrys, and the publisher of his best selling book is the owner of the FOX network!!(smile)so what is this a way to get the racist more against our president without saying that they are the reason why he is in the Whitehouse as a leader in what he believes in?????Or is this only about selling more of his books for th e owner of the Fox networks?!?

It is called the Diversity dept and is headed by a brother named Mark Lloyd.He is what we need to get not only rid of Beck but to get the Fox network to stop giving aid and comfort to those who wants our president out of the Whitehouse by any means necessary.
