The stigma of slavery
As a White American, I cannot feel this, as I am not a Black American descended from slaves. But it makes me wonder if this is at the root of my friend's proposed only permanent solution.
I have also been listening to the words of KRS-One,a Black American, who points out that Barack Obama is not a Black American, but African American, and bi-racial.
So, I am asking for your opinions on whether this stigma of slavery is a different issue from racism. How does it affect the black community, if in fact it does? Many seem not to be affected by it, while others may be.

Yes brother, your words have calmed me, the Van Jones deal had me unsettled. You have seen the Patriot? Blockbuster. Idealism is cheap, worth millions in the box office. But at some point it costs. Where is that point? I am sure you understand.
