AN OPEN LETTER TO AMERICA (NS) AND ESPECIALLY TO PARENTS AND ADULTS...
Dear every community in America/on planet Earth,
this is a letter to inform you that if you want to keep/get prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance in/kept in your community's public schools that these two things have just been struck another almost fatal blow?!? and not to mention the rights to FREEDOMS of :speech, religion and association...by the right-wings success in having our president speak to not be able to speak in just one of the schools that our (Black)children attend!!!!!!!!!
(I would like to steal brother Mozell's expression "white noise" to try to explain what I mean in this letter...)
When we put on our racist/prejudice (as in ignorant)blinders on, we are never able to see the big picture.And, here are the three big pictures we have not seen in this big picture, by not allowint our present presidentto not be treated as we have our last three Republican presents, no three issues.
1. Freedom of Speech, because each of our former Republican presidents have been able to speak actual political issue with our children in our public schools.When G. W. Bush was allowed to go into our schools and ask our children to send money to the children in Iraq.
2. Freedom of the FOURTEENTH AMMENDMENT in each public school when they refused to show this speech of our president, but history has proven this is allowed by those already mentioned presidents.
3. JULY 2,1964
ENACTMENT OF U. S. CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964 UPHOLDING SWEEPING FEDERAL AUTHORITY OF ENFORCE CIVIL RIGHTS AGAINST STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AND TO BAR PRIVATE D-I-S-C-R-I-M-I-N-A-T-I-O-N.
So now it is up to us if we are going to allow the Jim Crow laws that this law was created to put a stop to make a come back in our country by way of our INDIVIDUAL communities giving it the support it needs from mainly "our" Black communities???
The ball once more is in our court...we must reject this or accept it by how we respond to its getting bigger and bigger with ever move trying to help us help ourselves by the efforts of our president...while we do not even offer him a helping hand or do we do as the right-wing is doing a great job of biteing that hand of peace and respect our president has extended to America(ns) This ball is now in our court...
