What is a Slave Mentality?
This slogan, slave mentality, has been used on Black Americans by Black Americans. It has been kicked around as a worn out football for a very long time. But, what precisely does it mean.
I know that it is synonymous to Colonial Mentality.
Do Black Americans have a Slave Mentality/Colonial Mentality?
Let me to lead off with my personal definition of what a slave mentality is. I do not necessarily have to be right. A slave mentality to me is a people that begs and protests.
Now, begging is instinctively driven and there is nothing wrong with it when that is the only thing you could do under the circumstances. For example, our ancestors in slavery times begged their slave masters for scraps of clothing, scraps of food, not to sell their children off and above all, not to kill them. This begging last for centuries that it became a way of life and second nature to Black Americans. Of course, you know that this method of surviving was taught to the children.
Now, protesting is also instinctively driven. Whining and complaining is synonymous to protesting. Protesting began after slavery ended. Protesting is done when your limited reasoning tells you that there is nothing else you could do. However, in both cases of begging and protesting subconsciously you automatically know you are inferior to whom you are begging and protesting.
In closing, the question is what a slave mentality is.
Please share your thoughts with me, I will not comment.
Tell me what you think.

I think you have a point on begging and protesting being from an inferior position. On the other hand there is action, which has as it's goal superiority Dialog is part of action, and is not to be confused with protesting. And the ultimate form of action, when other means fail to achieve superiority, is war.
