Born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr, In Louisville , Kentucky, He Adopted The Name, Muhammad Ali When He Converted To Islam. Ali's First Heavyweight Title Was Suspended After He Refused To Enlist In The Draft For The Vietnam War. Having Claimed "Conscientious Objection" As A Minister Of Islam, He Argued: "You won't even stand up for me here in America for my religious belief and you want me to go somewhere and fight, while you won't even stand up for me here at home." His Title Was Restored By A Supreme Court Ruling In 1970. Muhammad Ali's Fame Transcends Sports And He Has Become A Symbol For Courage, Conviction And Black Manhood. What was the name of the blond guy that was a kick to watch his antic back thens? Now I don't care to watch it on tv any more as it is just too staged. I still will go see it live every now and then.

I just remembered his name now . It was Mr. George. to me he was a super star although I could never figure out his purpose in life(smile) but, he was a show in itself.He was a lot like a White Little Richard that I could never get tired of seeing in action.LOL

Oh, and this great man finally got Black boxers being paid what their worth was. One almost never hear this about him.
