When the last Baby Boomer croaks...I mean literally!
I don't know bout yall but I'm sick of Baby Boomers, this self righteous and over extending generation that has long outlived it's useful practical purpose. For those whom aren't famillar with the term "Baby Boomer" it's the generation born from the 1940's until the end of the 1950's. Alot of these babies were born after the world war 2 when the men returned home to their lonely wives. (Lol). Thus Baby Boomers because babies were booming everywhere. The world was suddenly filled with a bunch of new comers in a sense if you discount reincarnation. These new kids had numbers on their side so they changed the world around us in a very good way. We had the 60's revolution because of the Baby Boomers. People like Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharton and Rev. Wright are all Baby Boomers. So is Micheal Jackson and Oprah Winphrey and a bunch of elite Blacks.
The problem with this generation has nothing to do with it's historical achievements it's that the power it yeilded was needed at the time. But their power was so great it extends unto our time where we can't make a move without the Baby Boomers blocking our way with their old thinking and old energy. They sit at the top as Directors, Pastors, Ministers, Administrators, Politicians, Business Chairpersons and alot of high positions are filled by Baby Boomers. The reigns of power are held by a generation who's time has gone.
A concrete example of what's wrong with Baby Boomers is they have issues with using technology. Alot of them aren't quite ready to start using computers and are resistant to using computers as a part of everyday life. Well the world has speed up and is more intricate than when their time was. Enormous calculations have to be made every minute and we can't do that in our heads. We need technology and we need technical skills. Alot of the programs going to help inner people are products of Baby Boomers thinking. Like take for instance job readiness programs that focus upon resume writing and interviewing skills. WTF? Everybody pretty much knows how to use a computer what we need are skills to make, create, repair and build computers not how to type on one. Lol. We are being denied jobs on this basis and racism not because we aren't good at talking. Lol. That's all an interview is or a resume is just written speech. Also Baby Boomers are way past their physical ages and move slow and are less productive than young people. The companies across the country should retire these people and reward them handsomesly for their years of service. And Social Security if they the Baby Boomers are the last generation to recieve it then let's spend the rest of it on them since they have contributed the most to it considering it became in effect during their lifetimes and most of them have spend decades paying into it.
Another issue with Baby Boomers is they are too believing in the magic of their time when they held such great numbers. Nothing really intellectual deep happened in their generation that makes them qualified to rule for life. Old people should step aside and allow young people in their middle age or early 20's to make decisions because it's our world now. Retire and give advice only. But we need vibirant, young, energtic people up front to not only floss our strength but to move us forward more quickly. We need new vision and new direction in the Black Community and the Nation as a whole.
So when the last Baby Boomers croaks...I've went to the wine country here in California and got some really good expensive wine to bust open. Come help me celebrate the beginning of a new world. You all are invited. Lol.

Great blog! However, It looks like... baby boomers are also living much longer lives . We may in for a little more waiting! Maybe they have a few old secrets to longevity? We can learn that from them. [Lol]
