The Generational Debate: Baby Boomers vs. the X Generation.
Era Era Type years* Generation Gen. Type

I'm telling many of you that the Baby Boomers started around the early 1940's up until the 1960's. This is the generation that marched, protested and fought Korea and Vietnam. There appears to be a disagreement with the date of when this Baby Boomer cycle ended. Well I think it's done because some want to fit themselves into the Baby Boomers because they were born in the mid 1960's. Hell that's not but a few years before I was born in 1970. So these are my peers. Lol. Barrack Obama is of Generation X.
Anyway, anyone of you have ever thought why in the 1960's MLK, Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharton, Afena Shakur, Fred Hampton, Betty Davis, Rosa Parks, Huey Newton, Malcolm X and a host of other black leaders including some white ones were all middle aged? Yet when you look at the Black leaders today they are mostly aged people like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and a whole of others whom are not middle aged but actualy in their late 50's and early 60's and some late 60's? Why is it that these old people are still at the helms of the black community?
Now many people call the Generation X whiners. Let's see where they have lead us since they proceeded us. The Baby Boomers passed Civil Rights and Intergration happned but they abandoned the Black Community for jobs, schools and businesses in the white communities. Leaving their children in the Ghetto to fend for ourselves so we became pimps, players, hustlers of the 70's and 80's. Is not this the way history evolved in America? The Disco area was brought about by the Baby Boomers whom just fail into disarray after the Civil Rights laws passed. Suddenly this fighting generation had just gave up. There's was no jobs in the Black communities nor fathers. Mother and father on herion or listening to funk music. Lol. In some regions of the country this didn't happened in the same order but nonetheless the Baby Boomers didn't do their job in raising up their kids or leaving them with anything. So the 80's brought face to face with institutionalized racism that pretty much made it extremely difficult for even college educated blacks to get jobs in this country. Mostly Blackmales who are the primary threat to white power suffered emotional scars throughout the 80's.
I'm saying to all of you with sense that the Baby Boomers are still holding on to power. They need to let it go and put more young people out there. The election of Barrack Obama by mostly young people shows young people are ready for this world. We're tired of old energy and old ideas. Marches and protests are ineffective in this digital age where a 24hr news loop can undo your message. A 15 min looped segment of video destroyed Baby Boomer Rev. Wright. Lol. Think about that.
I'm not saying old people don't have their place but it's not out front. The prescence of old people out front makes us look weak and feeble as a people. It's clear to everyone that we as a people have not prepared our youth. Where are the Booker T's and the W.E.B Dubois of old people whom are willing to train the young to lead? Why are all our leaders old and frail? Isn't it time they stepped aside for the sake of the future?
Even the Republicans are looking at younger leaders in their party for 2012 and beyond. We should be doing that right now in the Black Community. We need bold new fresh leadership. Period. With all due respect to the elders. Thank you.

Stop dodging the disscusion.
This is work! Lol. Time to step down.
