A Rebel's Poem by me. Lol.

John Washington · Sunday, October 25th 2009 at 6:47AM · 296 views
Hey Rebel, are you a warrior or what?

Then Why do you sit there on your butt

Why your Nation staves from lack of Mother Wood

No groceries stores in the hood

They die from disease because don't exercise

Their minds and bodies as one when they rise

So you march, protest and raise your Black Fist

But you have intergration now you achieved your wish

But you've still neglected to create your own bliss

A black nation in your own midst..

Listen Great Warrior I'm not here to tell you how...

But I'm saying you must act if not soon then now

Greater nations tredged low, great walls have come to ruin

Great armies defeated for the evil they were doing

So why you stand froze in fear like dead man's bones

While the hand Of God reaches to put you on the throne!

Thanks.

It's nothing. Writing poems is meditation. Thanks again.

Hello to all,

Mr. Washington’s poem seems to be expressing the need to become a sovereign people or have complete independence on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way.

Perhaps when we become more serious than we are now about the concept of sovereignty we would not have to starve for a lack of motherhood neither would we have to march, protest and raise Black fist.

Am I right or wrong?

The time will come that we will all meet.

Tell me what you think.

It's just practice.

I could write more into other forms but that takes more time to put words in rhythm and also to develope an extended metaphor or complete concrete image.
