Well,.. do you ever say that? Opportunity may lead you one day or another to complete, or finish a task you'd consider that's not yours. When it does will you say "That's not my job!" As a team player in your company or workplace are you meeting that role. Many company are facing cut-backs and are relying on you and your co-workers to fill in the boots of layoffs. You help may be acquired to keep your company or job open. It varies for occupation to occupation.

Time may bring you along to where you may be asked to do something that wasn't or never has been in your job description. Dealing with the situation can be handled with or without making a mountain out of a molehill. Strikingly, many of us will definately refuse right up front to do a job or task that's not ordinary their own. Others may deemed it as a loyal employee to do whatever it takes to keep down any chaos and disruptive elements in their work enviornment. Doing a task outside your work qualifications are not unreasonable, but I feel that you should at least know what your doing or expected to do. Afterall, you may/will need to know how long, how many times are you expected to handle some tasks that are not normally yours.

Talking with your manager, supervisor or, coordinator helps especially if you've been doing the job over a period of time. In order to prevent doing someone else's task you will need to indicate it very early. State your reasons, know your job duties, and know the risks of taking on something you don't ordinary do. You can be the best judge of how you want to handle the job duty. If it's making you misrable, that's extra stress on you. Communication is recommended.

No, I don't know it all, never claim to. Just making a few suggestions. I always welcome sharing. I'm sure I left off something. You can add because I love to read your ideas too.

I'm done.
