Documents show DHS improperly spied on Nation of Islam in 2007

Hsu and Carrie Johnson The Department of Homeland Security improperly gathered intelligence on the Nation of Islam for eight months in 2007 when the leader of the black Muslim group, Louis Farrakhan, was in poor health and appeared to be yielding power, according to government documents released Wednesday.
The intelligence gathering violated domestic spying rules because analysts took longer than 180 days to determine whether the U.S-based group or its American members posed a terrorist threat. When was there a time that the US Government did not spy on the Nation of Islam and other Black organizations and leaders. The author of the article says the government "improperly" spied. When is it proper to spy on a law abiding citizen?
The US Government has never truly been for the upliftment of Black people. That is something we will have to do ourselves.
History teaches us that the government was behind the destruction of Black organizations and leaders under CoInTelPro.
