CNN Breaking News--Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab pleads not guilty to six federal charges!

My goodness Brother Clark that is IT--- his poor mother--- in Nigerian culture when a child fails it is that the mother didn't do a good job in most cases that is what is said. I've read many articles and watched other news networks speak on the issue, but the there seems to be a general consensus amomg Nigerians of deep embarrassment & humiliation because of this lone Nigerian who had no contact with his parents for months. He didn't go home to see them when he entered Nigerian briefly before his failed attempt at terrorism.

I think Mutallab was acting on behalf of Al Qaeda. I did a blog in the news section that has a statement from a group calling themselves MEND,

[Nigeria’s main militant group has condemned the failed attempt to bomb a US jetliner on Christmas day by a Nigerian national, Abdul Farouk Abdul Mutallab.
In a statement emailed to The Times of Nigeria, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) said: “The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) condemns the attempted act of terrorism on Delta flight 253 into the United States by a misguided Islamic extremist from the Northern part of Nigeria.

..."This attempted act of terrorism by this northern Islamic extremist does not come as a surprise to any Nigerian. For decades, Christians have been murdered and raped in the north of Nigeria with impunity. No northern Muslim has ever been brought to book for the thousands of Christians killed in this region. Northern Nigeria is fertile ground for international terrorism...

The Nigerian government has persistently turned a blind eye to Islamic extremists coming from Northern Nigeria, choosing instead to focus and waste its resources on military hardware and troop deployment in the Niger Delta. The government of Nigeria which unfortunately has been dominated by the north since independence has bred such undesirable elements under false pretexts with the hope of creating a reserve army to counter agitation in the south and other parts of Nigeria.

In spite of this embarrassment to the nation, the government will not re-direct its military to the North, neither will the rights of these violent people be trampled as is the case in the Niger Delta. ]

I know that those that have gotten more information about how the big oil companys have left this young man's country almost on the point of starving has started to come out. And when it comes to killing about 300 peoples when it comes to killing millions then you know whoes side "I" stand behind...Hitler came to power using hungry peoples in his 'adopted' country, Germany...

I only hope it is going to be open to the media.(smile)

and, may I add that there will be talk(in trial0 about how he had the visa granted by the Bush administration and was just in tx. last year...and how they have the Black male coming and going. example,

In America the Blacks are 'violent' because they are poor and from broken homes...if not in America these violent black skinned males come from wealthy stable homes...no I will side with it has more to the story than al qeda but a cry for help for their country as a whole, but that's me.(smile)
