Prominent African Americans defending Harry Reid

George Cook · Monday, January 11th 2010 at 4:34PM · 170 views
Many Republicans are running to the aid of African Americans after "racist" comments by Harry Reid. While I'm happy that the Republicans are willing to tell us African Americans when we have been racially insulted many black leaders are willing to let this issue pass and are defending Harry Reid. What Reid said about Obama is true we know lightskin are percieved differently than darkskin whites and with favor. Also we know that Obama speaking White makes Whites accept him more. That's not to say Obama doesn't have qualifications but also need in this country more than qualifications you need the favor of Whites. Reid's comments are the truth as he sees American life. When we get to the point where we have to lie to each other we are more than lost. This political correct enviroment is hostile to our advancement.

George, what is really a pity...we are acting like this senator is not and has no relations to being the head of the senate along with his majority party in the senate, but can not even get a blil to protect the black community!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and, we have the nerves to be complaining about this conuntry is going back to the days of what and how this man came into the senate...

I will repeat everey time and place I can get to do so...WHEN REID CAME TO DC THERE WAS NOT ONE BLACK ELECTED INTO OFFICE in the SENATE AND WE HAD ONE TOKEN BLACK ON THE SUPREME COURT...am, I the only one discusted with this whole priority thing?????????????????????????????????

I gather that I am coming at tis issue from as I have said on the site before...about a few of my sisters and brothers because they were very light skinned and had red hair and gray eyes suffered so much for people who did not know them would insist that they were lying when they would say they are Black...my oldest daughter is very light skined and my baby daughter is very dark...but, who pays attention to Rev. Wright when he says different does not mean deficient.(smile)

who knows maybe some one will notice that there is no way we in the black community can ever not know tis light skined issue, because if we look at our news being reported by the very news networks talking about what we are saying about any racial issues it is being talked about by how many DARK SKINNED African-Americans be they the inter viewer or being interviewed onany and al racial issues!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I am actually begining to wonder why I even resent no blacks doing the news or playing any leading roles or even co-star without a gun in their hands...if we are contented why should they take a chance on doing something that shows we demand better when it is not going to play well in the south.(smile)

At least oven on Fox gleen beck has more Blacks on than any other programs...we must give credit where credit is due...after all they do need a blaance for not allowing any blacks when he speaks at those rallys.and I use to get upset when they called us idiots.(smile)
