ODE TO PHILLIS WHEATLEY

Jo Anna Bennerson · Wednesday, January 20th 2010 at 11:47PM · 493 views
I hear her rhyme and rhythm orchestrate Boston symphonies,
forging the continental rifts through the depth, beauty and fluidity of her poetry.
Ever young Phillis, herself, embodies the fresh breeze of one young nation's freedom,
whilst still harboring the promise of lectured freedom...always still yet to come!

Jo Anna:

Ooooh! You captured the essence and meaning of PHillis and her poetry in four short lines.

You brought her "rhyme and rhythm", now more than 200 years old, right to today' s classical culture.

You caught her role in promoting our young nation's freedom--while still waiting for the promise of her own.

Beuatiful!

A heartfelt thank you!!!
