Dear Brothers of St. Paul’s:
In lieu of Brother Morris Lee’s vacation and absence, I wanted to get this timely information out to you as soon as possible.
I recently became the Vice President of a newly formed non-profit organization, Young Men In Charge Foundation, Inc., whose mission is to increase the number of African American males in the engineering, sciences, law and business by providing the young men with academic, financial and mentoring support to increase their chances of becoming responsible citizens within our communities.
We are planning an introductory networking session on April 28 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Milestone Events in West Chester. The purpose of this event is to simply introduce attendees to our organization and use it as a vehicle for spreading the word about the organization. There is no cost for those men that are interested in attending. Also, this would align very well with our objectives for doing outreach and mentoring of young men and helping them achieve their goals in life.

Steve, it is such a shame that our black community is more interested in the negatives as related to education or the lack there of...example,
I would love to see blogs of videos all over the information highway about the interview of our first Black female astronaut in an interview talking about just this same issue in this blog of yours only thie morning on CNN...this same subject!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
She was talking about how we are so lacking in just exposing our youths in these specialized fields of study as you have covered this matter right here in this very post and what a shame this was...
Steve, it is so ironic taht you posted this blog a full day before she was on theat interview on CNN only a few hours ago. so my brother you and this organization as astronaut Dr. Jamerson ( I may be saying the name uncorrectly but no one can miss this history making black beauty- smile)must keep beating us in teh head with things like this until we get it!!!!!!!!!!!! lol(smile)
