Insurance companies wasted no time after the bill was passed to unearth a loophole that allowed them to deny coverage to children with pre-existing illnesses for the next four years.

In order for the price of health insurance to go down, new companys will need to enter the market. The new companies will make money because they will offer what ever is required by the law. The older insurance companies might lose money if more than a few people start to withdraw from their services.

The few parents who have medical coverage for their children find that their children receive less than adequate treatment for their illnesses. Children should not be allowed to suffer like this. The aim of the policy is to provide health coverage for more Americans. Under the new plan this coverage would be available under government run plans like Medicaid and what most states provide to children.
