I KNOW YOU MAY THINK I'M BEING SILLY BUT...
I have been in a lot of dialogue with brothers on how powerful the woman is, how she is a god within herself. How she is equal to the man and she should never see herself as in a subservient position to man.
Well at the end of the dialogues I interject every time --- well if all you stated is true about the woman, then why is it expected for her to cook, wash dishes, clean the house, iron mans clothing, tend to the children, etc. etc. you all know what I'm saying... domesticate her.
It is pretty much all the same reply --- that is what women are suppose to do in being man's helpmate. I have even heard it shared with me and other women that blame Eve, for if Eve had not tempted Adam to eat the apple than she would not be in the domesticated situation.
I do not feed into that thinking at all --- however maybe I am taking it personal. Mind you I delight in being able to assist the Blackman in his development to god, however not if it is with a hint of or it is outright male chauvinism.
I welcome all feedback, thank you in advance.
BTW, I think if Adam was handling his business a snake or anything/body else would not have been able to tempt Eve and she went alone with it!!!!!!!!!!

No Clark I don't believe that the majority of black men are this way (LOL). Being a Black woman is a great and not so great position to be in, however I am very pleased to be able to assist in the development of the Black man in being himself, a mighty God. Because the more I assist, the more I am pleased by witnessing such power from himself, to rule and take control of any situation.
I notice the more I learn him the more I learn how to serve him to where he is happy and when he is happy, he automatically makes everything around him as well as with him happy. Submitting is very challenging (thought provoking that is) to me, because it is the thing that causes you to never be bored. To submit willingly to another in the way of serving is sheer power, coming from the one you are submitting to.
You see when a Black man inspires his woman to submit, WILLINGLY, he proves himself worthy for a woman to serve. The power is in the submission more so than in the serving, which is the joy. The more challenging it is, the more powerful he becomes. Meaning, equal the challenge, equal the greatness. When I keep this in mind it helps me to appreciate and respect my position of helpmate.
I'm gonna end this comment different than how I opened, being a Black woman is a great position to be in when I submit, therefore I see my husband being God and I am proud to be his helpmate --- being a female reflection of himself --- a Goddess!
