Can't be all bad. Today I spoke with a young man named Mario. Mario is around the age of 20 who uses gospel raps to reach black youngsters and young men his age. Gospel rappin isn't new. With more black youths needing to have some kind of inspiration for life, it's making it way back to the neighborhood, and inside many lives and with many local performances. Although gospel rappers have a harder time reaching the big time as far as fame and big record sales, it's not all about money at all! Most groups will tell you it's all about reaching the good that inside and changing a life from guns and drugs to find love, education and making a difference in their lives. The rapper I spoke with said "Young men and women must have the mentality to stay away from gangs and the streets." "Using rappin..." he says ..."is one way I try to keep their mentality focused away from everyday crime, and gangs to keep attention that there's good in them." Gospel rap groups often are small, or may contain an individual who raps about God and the bible to reach those who ears will hear. These rappers are special and the popularity for more their music and raps are starting to bring many troubled black youths to find ways to better serve as individuals to their communtity as well as themselves. I think it's great what this young man's doing to aid black youngters away for the streets and to a new view of life. Mario is looking foward to healing those negative objectives by replacing them with ideals of positive raps that teaches love...while he says...I''ll keep it all up and try not to get tangled in the ropes." I think it's working already because I see it has affected a change in him. He's jumpin!

Dear MIISRAEL:

A positive message. Any way to get the WORD OF GOD out in a way people hear it...that is a good thing.

I wish him all the best!!!

Thank you Richard. He's so positive and he's no super star or a VIP, He just one positive person trying to make a difference right in places he goes. How so much we need to have more young people like him. I enjoyed the whole conversation with him.!

I printed him a copy of this blog to take with him, as I wrote while we were talking about his rappin and his group. You should of seen his face...It was all teeth!

That just shows you how one person can make a difference.

We can all touch someone's life if we offer something enriching and uplifting.

And by the way--I love your appeal for brotherhood, peace and a cease-fire on Jamal's website. Someone needs to do the job.

I hope they hear you.

Yes, words fight but a cease fire is a way to end a war of words too! We can fight often, but eventually someone has to be a peacemaker.

BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED THE CHILDREN OF GOD.

Thanks for the WORD. I think if we'd consentrate on just being a part of someone's life to make a difference there, then we can find peace within others.

You know what-- I was touched by the young rappers determination to keep on going as he helps to do what he can to make a difference. We all can share our lives like by giving of our voice, time and just listening or by giving a kind reply.

Thanxs COW! [Smiles]

MIISRAEL, there had been something bothering me since your Sunday prayer and the way you used the word Bride...I noticed this as I was a practicing Catholic for 48 years...and, the sister is the bride...and your behavior is more that that of an average person, we tend to go off every now and then but not you, Bride. (smile)

YOu don't have to answer me...I just wanted to tell you so as to get it off of my mind. O.K......good night...good night Richard...as I so sledem use your whole name.(smile)
