ON THE INVISIBLE UNDERCLASS (PART 2)

It is interesting to witness some of the startling events that have taken place in this country. In several middle and high schools, “children” have decided to take the lives of their classmates. The reasons provided are varied, but not strong enough to justify the random taking of lives. Some of these children are also taking the lives of their parents. The weapons of choice have been firearms of varying calibers. The killers are young, not affiliated with gangs, from middle income families, and related to be “good” students and friends to all. Their actions have not been anticipated by anyone close to them. In fact, everyone close to them is either dead, wounded, or emotionally scared for life.
There are several questions that should be asked at this time:
1. Where did the children get the weapons?
2. Why were the weapons used so powerful?
3. How were the children so proficient in the use of the weapons?
4. How were they able to plan the killings without anyone being the wiser?
5. Why were all the killings carried out in essentially the same fashion?
6. Why has the media described the killers as “misguided?”
7. Who or what misguided them?
8. Why has the media followed up on the killings with how other schools are attempting to forestall or stop the same type of violence in their schools, and the only schools that are shown are predominately Black?
9. Have not all the killings taken place in white schools?
10. Have any of these types of killings occurred in Black schools?
11. If no killings have occurred in Black schools, would you reason that they will?
12. If all these killings have occurred in white schools, would it not be feasible to show how white schools are dealing with possible future killings?
13. Is this an attempt by media and other powers to deflect from themselves the evil that they do to themselves to the minority races? If it is not, then why are the only schools shown after the incidents are minority-without fail?
14. Implicitly, is this not an attempt to demonstrate how “evil” we are?
15. Would you not think that the white schools are the schools that should be shown beefing up security than Minority schools? Minority schools have never done this type of thing-only white schools.
